To start our Christmas adventure the day before American thanksgiving, we’re flying from Dallas, Texas to Zurich, Switzerland where we’re taking trains to the cities of Basel, Colmar, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, and Cologne before coming back to Zurich and flying home in time for Christmas.

You are so correct on Colmar streets being so winding. Easy to get lost. We visited in October years ago and Christmas last year. Worth a visit any time of year.

This is a great video. It really helped my wife and I navigate the Colmar Christmas Markets over the weekend. (We had the Ballotine, by the way, although we didn't recall seeing it in the video.) We live part-time in France (near Geneve), and made the 3.5 hour trek to Colmar just for the Markets. It is truly magical! We have visited many Christmas Markets in France and Switzerland; but this is the best by far. Why? It is very beautiful - day and night. The old buildings and narrow streets are extremely charming. There is a lot to see, do, buy and eat. And . . . Colmar is easy to get to and navigate - unlike the bigger cities. A big thumbs-up on the Markets and the video. Oh . . . if you're staying overnight, make your hotel reservations well in advance.

I was in Strasbourg in 2019 and heard good things about Colmar but did not get there. So thanks for this video. I did buy a pottery dish made in Colmar while in Strasbourg. I'll be looking for your Strasbourg video!

We visited on a Saturday and Sunday and filmed this on a Saturday! We were told the children’s choir only carol on Saturdays at 5pm. Have the best time!! ♥️

Hi! We're coming to Colmar and Strasbourg next week. Do the vendors at the markets accept credit cards or do they want cash? 🤔
So exciting! You’re going to love it. Most take cash for anything is under €20 euros. If it’s €20 or more, they’ll typically take card! did you find colmar or straßburg better ? :-) have to decide on one
We liked Strasburg more than Colmar overall. Colmar was crowded and had less Christmas markets. Both are great, but we would definitely go with Strasburg.
