Female Truck Driver Declines Yonkers NY Load So Dispatch Punished Me w/ No Load. I Had to Sit a Day!

- Yes you read that right. Sometimes as a truck driver, dispatch will punish you for not taking a load. For my safety and due to the aggressiveness of New York Drivers towards truckers, I declined the load. Yes I stood on business. I was also offered the same Yonkers load the following day because "it would probably be hard to find another load". I declined the load again. I didn't want to be pressured into driving in areas that I'm uncomfortable and feel unsafe. During my hiring process, I mentioned the areas I do not go to and thought it would be respected without any issues. Hopefully this is the first and last issue we have with these areas. Hi Kaali. I am enjoying your content. Just have a question. When you take your hazmat endorsement is there any other testing other than just the computer test? Keep up the great content and stay safe.
I think most states require a class before they allow you to take the computer test at the DMV but you can take the online version of the class. The cost varies from $100+ per class.
