Some talented musicians can play by ear. Considering the fact that he's a multi instrumentalist he's probably very good at arranging the sound in his mind.

Did you know that the dutch metal band Epica has covered "In the Hall of the Mountain King" on their album The Classical Conspiracy? Works quite well with doublebass I have to say :D And awesome show format from 3sat!
Hab jetzt ein paar andere Folgen von "Rock the Classic" gesehen und in meinem Vergleich sind Eluveitie diejenigen, die das am Besten hinbekommen haben. Einfach nur toll! Anna und Chrygi haben das mit ihrer Stimme genial unterlegt.
Als Note: Eins mit Sternchen.
Und ich wäre gerne bei der Uraufführung dabei gewesen. :-)

+Obsidian Wing Aber es ist ein Unterschied klassische Musik mit Metal-Instrumenten zu spielen oder Musik für eine Metalband zuzuschneiden und zu komponieren.
@@SKOGBOX oder man macht es einfach andersrum wie blind guardian und komponiert metal für ein orchester -> siehe legacy of the dark lands. nur orchester und hansi an den vocals

Dan McCarthy yes cellar darling was her solo. When the drummer was fired and the guitarist left eluveitie, they joined her solo project ( cellar darling)
No. Her solo thing from 2013 or whatever was just under her name, 'Anna Murphy'. The -album- was called 'Cellar Darling', not the project.
After the 3 of them exited Eluveitie, they started a new band, 'Cellar Darling', which is a different project from her solo album.
This was awesome, I really enjoyed it :)

Also Metal und Klassik geht sowieso schon mal im Allgemeinen gut zusammen. Es gibt eine gewisse Verwandschaft. Besonders, wenn es melodiöser Metal ist.
