I wish I did something like construction or engineering as a career. There must be a lot of pride being a part of a team that builds/designs things. As a sales professional as soon as the sale is closed you immediately move on to the next. I can't go look at a structure/home/building etc. and say I was a part of that. This stadium looks badass.
@@meb882 I'm 49, so I get that! Honestly, I feel tired just thinking about it. lol. It really is never too late, if you really want to do it but yeah, at our age it's not quite as enticing.
Watch what you wish for my guy ! Being in the hot sun for 12 hours a day isn’t fun at all. Or in the pouring down rain and forgot to bring extra clothes that day .. it is cool to see what you were apart when it’s all done but construction is not fun at all
You could do what I do. I'm one of the two main drone pilots for Mortensen McCarthy. Many of my clips are in this video, 1:36, 1:56, 2:32, 3:42, and a lot of the overhead shots of the cables, etc. My main task is weekly surveys so the project managers can see the progress in a 3D model. So while I do walk around the entire perimeter of the stadium twice each weekend, I only have to carry two drones and a bunch of batteries. And I can still say I took part in the construction of this project.
It’s really cool. I install all the equipment that makes the fire of the torch as well as all the 3D panels and aluminum panels. Can’t wait to see the episode.
Duntov should get some kind of credit from the Raiders. That man has literally filmed this stadium from the ground up an is a die hard fan. I’d love to see him get some VIP pass or field pass or something.
I moved out to Cali ten years ago for awhile. I got season tickets at the 50 for that season. DREAM come true! The next three things I want to try to watch there is the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steers, and the AFC Championship game! GO NV RAIDERS...JUST WIN, BABY
Reminder set I cannot wait u have the most beautiful coverage of this STATIUM & I really appreciate it because this virus has me grounded and afraid to travel !!!!!!! THX U 👑💖💜💖
Money will never replace the heart and soul of a true Raider. And, that heart and soul is still in Oakland and the Bay area! It can never be bought! True Raider heart can never be purchased by the Las Vegas mob! It comes from faith, sacrifice, and the blessed will to keep fighting, and never give up!
Why hasn't Netflix made a series of this yet? I'd watch in-sight of construction for the construction of SoFi and Allegiant all day long. Feature some players, coaches and owners too, then boom. Netflix has their own little version of Hard Knocks lol
The Empire State Building in NYC was built in 13 months, in the middle of Manhattan, WITN NO COMPUTERS, and under budget. Thus stadium is impressive, but what they did in the 30's was mind-blowing.
@Raiders you should let Dontuv be your official raiders press. Because he followed the construction from the ground up, like literally From The Ground Up.
Very interesting video. I asked this a few months ago: You’re in the middle of the desert. Why is there not a major solar power component to this project? Was it considered? The roof of Apple’s massive new spaceship campus, for example, is covered with solar panels.
Cesar Darius: The solar panels would be too heavy. The roof of this stadium was supposed to be retractable to open for air and light. Having solar panels isn't realistic for this project. It's going to be a clear roof and it's hard enough to construct a roof made out of glass, as you can see.
Before Mike Rowe said we were looking at the roof if the stadium I just kept staring at it because it looked like a giant seashell and I couldnt figure out why a giant shell was at the stadium site
I hope there is Episode 12 right up to and including the game and after the game or as we soccer fans like to call it a Match any way what I am saying what happened after the game clean up the stadium and every else
I still find it amazing how people are wondering how things are going to work with a heat here in Las Vegas. The reason why it's kind of amazing is because the Cardinals have been in the Phoenix metropolitan area since what 1986 or so and they've had no problems and the reason why I bring them up is because the Phoenix area is typically on average between 5 and 10 degrees warmer than what Vegas is. So like right now it's about a hundred and two degrees outside here in Las Vegasthat would make it roughly 107 to 112 degrees in Phoenix. And considering the fact that the Cardinals have been able to play in the Phoenix area since the mid-80s and a majority of that time was at the stadium for ASU which is sun devil stadium and that was an outdoor stadium there should be no issues whatsoever with him playing at an indoor stadium here in Vegas.
Technicallythe stadium has mostly been paid off because the funding from the state was done by exercising a room tax on the hotel rooms in town and thus all the great and awesome tourists and visitors that come to Vegas have pretty much paid for the stadium
seeing as how just calling the NHL's golden knights the Vegas golden knights has worked without problem, unofficially I think that the raiders should actually be known as the sin City raiders as opposed to the Las Vegas raiders. Actually just Vegas raiders work too.
As an architect appreciating design, this stadium is so dope! However I don’t support the NFL and left the nation once they decided to be desert pirates lol should have built this in California.
So, that actually makes you a fan of a city (Oakland) and a state (Cali) as opposed to a team. I mean 8ve been a die hard 49ers fan and stayed one when they left San Fran because I am a fan of the TEAM and NOT the city they play in.
Video production got pushed back because the edit house closed for the shutdown. I offered my services, and my equipment, but all of Lawrence's video clips (he's the guy producing these) were on the hard drives at the place that was closed.
What's that game where you line up on two sides and have a wanker run in the middle of the two sides and everyone gets to slap them? That's what should be done to everyone who gave this a thumbs down.
I gave it a thumbs down because it's another video that's just virtue signaling. Last time was, "Hey, look at the women working on the stadium! Feminism! Yay!" and this time is, "Hey, look at us doing our part during the pandemic! Our footage has never been live, but we're going to act like it was!" It's just terrible. I'm so sad for the turn this documentary series has taken. I just wonder what they're going to virtue signal about in the next episode.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE SOME REAL FROM THE GROUND UP,CHECK OUT : Duntov1967 his channel gives you the whole story, with new updates almost every second day!!
All these workers are badasses.
Glad to see that Las Vegas is taking after AZ with the train tracks and going to have real grass. So much better for the athletes.
Absolutely incredible video. This feels like something we would watch in school, very inspiring.
Yup, it like were all part of history
Fantastic episode. I hope you can do another showing the interior work.

Can't wait to see what you out together in person!
You work for DI? I sampled the grout for the base of the torch

Me: Waiting for a Ground up episode for 10 years
They used to make a video every 2 weeks

Finally last one was in March ima rewatch em all this is one great looking place to play btw if u haven’t noticed
They should just let Duntov take over From The Ground Up. Hey Raiders-let him post a video from the inside before the stadium is done.
John Gullo yep knew this was coming
They don't even let me in there except when they need special work done. I'm their main drone pilot.
Nice work 👌🏻
Finally, another From the Ground Up episode after 4 months of no From the Ground Up!

It’s beautiful inside 28 days left
This stadium is beautiful

There is only one nation... RAIDER-NATION ☠️☠️☠️
And they live in Oakland
LIFE AFTER PEOPLE: Las Vegas.
it sucks it’ll be such a long time before they have a packed stadium and a night game with the door open to the sparkly Las Vegas Strip.
I live a block away from south point casino so I drive by the stadium every day since the start😉👍🏻

Look at that schedule. I like that back 8 games for a playoff run.
About time 🖤☠
Before Mike Rowe said we were looking at the roof if the stadium I just kept staring at it because it looked like a giant seashell and I couldnt figure out why a giant shell was at the stadium site
Brought the French in to help and everything.
Especially if they had to run away they could show them how it's done.

Alright we all know what must be done in order to pay that stadium off and that’s.. WINNING. We need to win right now.
Technicallythe stadium has mostly been paid off because the funding from the state was done by exercising a room tax on the hotel rooms in town and thus all the great and awesome tourists and visitors that come to Vegas have pretty much paid for the stadium
Duntov filmed this like 2 months ago, raiders youre behind
Everyone this is how you pronounce "NEVADA" !! 1:53
Imagine losing your first home game in a new stadium that’s tough, that new stadium isn’t going to make the Raiders better.
Does anyone else hear that dump truck back up sound in the background? Can we ask that person to put it into park for a sec
That sound would be when it drops of the actual team,Raiders are everytjing trash.go Rams!!!
WTF happened to the CLEAR etf roof. Not semi clear. I thought there was no compromise there?
I thought so, too. But I think the diffused PTFE will be better for the attendees during the summer heat.
Looks like a couple teams landed on the roof bout to camp
THAT STADIUM SHOULD BE CALLED THE TOILET BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE ONE FROM THE TOP HAHAHAHAH
haha havent heard that one before........🙄
