      Glad that you found the video helpful. Since making the video, Zwift now allows you to give multiple Ride On's while riding a Group Ride. (Previously, only the Yellow Beacon could give multiple Ride On's during a Group Ride.)

    It would be nice to give multiple ride ons during a group ride. Trying to give them individually takes focus off the group and I tend to either fall off a group or surge ahead.

      Great. Exactly why I put this video together. Always some small piece of the puzzle we miss. For example, I did not realize that the Drop Rate doubled for 15s when you got a Ride On until I did some research for this video. Really appreciate your feedback.

    Thank you! You are the only one who covers the small details of Zwift. Still, I have a question: I see that a blue thumb above a rider means that rider is receiving a ride on. But I have seen at times a gigantic blue thumb hovering over the entire screen. What is that?

    • @endurancesweat
      @endurancesweat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good to read that you are finding my videos helpful. Feedback is always appreciated. Regarding the "gigantic blue thumb", it is just a regular "Ride On" icon that happens to be floating down over the head of a rider that you are passing close by. Put it down to Zwift graphics. I've seen that type of "gigantic blue thumb" myself more than a few times. Keep on on Zwifting. "Train Hard. Have Fun."

    I only have a few badges on zwift left, one being the 100 ride on badge. Do ride on's after the completing of the ride count? Also is there a way to track how many you have received so far while riding?

    • @endurancesweat
      @endurancesweat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great progress you have made earning Zwift badges. Ride On's received after completing the route do not count for this badge. The best way to encourage others to give you Ride On's is to first give them Ride On's. Use the "Ride On Bomb" feature in the Companion App (Tap on the circle of your ride position) to hand out 5 Ride On's at a time. Unfortunately, there is no capability within Zwift to display your Ride On count during a ride. However, you can use the OBS Lua feature in OBS Studio application to display current Ride On's but it is a bit of a technical process. See obsproject.com/forum/resources/zwift-ride-ons.982/

    Is there a quick way to give a ride on back to someone?

    • @endurancesweat
      @endurancesweat  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Excellent question. You can only give a quick Ride On back to someone if the Zwifter who gives you a Ride On is included in the list of Zwifters Nearby on the right hand side of the Game Screen at the time they give you a Ride On. In that situation, a Ride On icon will show up beside their name, and you can click on it to give them a Ride On. Example: You are riding with a small, tight group of Zwifters - say 3 to 6 riders. All of those Zwifters names are shown in the Zwifters Nearby Sidebar. One of them gives you a Ride On. A Ride On icon shows up next to their name, so you click on it to return a Ride On. However, generally you cannot quickly return a Ride On. You do not know where from the Ride On origites. It could be from someone riding in close to you but in a large pack but then it's more likely than not that their name won't be in the Zwifters Nearby list. Or the Ride On could originate from someone who follows you and clicks on the Ride On icon on the Companion App just below the Zwifting Now bar. So except for the one situation that I described above, you cannot quickly return a Ride On. Sorry for this very long answer. Ride On!

    Is there a way to view the number of RideOn's you receive during a ride?

    • @endurancesweat
      @endurancesweat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I am aware, there isn't a way to display "Number of RideOn's Received" in Zwift. However, if you are using Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to livestream or record your Zwift ride, then you can use a Lua Script to monitor the Zwift Log file to display Number of RideOns Received and other parameters. Sorry to hear that you are having problems giving multiple "ide Ons. I just checked it out for myself, running the latest versions of Zwift on a Windows laptop and the Companion App on an Android phone. And I was still able to give out multiple Ride Ons. Wish I could help with your situation. A reminder that only the Ride Leader (aka Yellow Beacon) can give multiple Ride Ons during a group ride.

      @@endurancesweat I run my Zwift through Apple TV. This limits what I can do from the screen. I use the app with my iPhone when I ride. I used to touch the iPhone screen on the arrow/circle icon and I could give ride ons to surrounding riders. It was really the only way I gave out ride ons because it was easy (it would give 5 that way). Nothing happens when I touch the circle now. i I gave up on it and feel a bit unfriendly now when I ride.

    I'm dying on my bike when I ride - never understand how people manage this with all energy going into the ride. They probably all think I'm being obnoxious not returning their ride-on's. Also, my Zwift is on my PC - no way to fiddle with it during my rides. :-(

    • @endurancesweat

      There's a whole lot going on during a Zwift ride which is a challenge to take-in especially for new Zwifters. Some experienced Zwifters manage to give Ride-Ons, exchange Messages (using a keyboard or voice-to-text) and carry on voice conversations on Discord while group riding. I use a Windows laptop to run Zwift. I use separate Bluetooth, wireless keyboard and mouse to give Ride Ons and compose messages. And I also use the Companion App on my smartphone as a alternate to give Ride Ons, and to compose messages using voice-to-text. As a start, you might try using the Companion App on your Smartphone to give Ride Ons. And if not, do not fret about it. Zwift is a friendly place.
