Absolutely PHENOMENAL. 15 minutes of tense & gripping brutality of mother nature. The lack of dialogue between the two brothers mixed with the bleak outlook make this short riveting.
This is so Pro! The only thing I'd change is the make up. The blood and dirt on the face seems slightly unrealistic. Everything else made me feel like I was there. The DP's work really stands out! 100/100.
This is a very impressive, dynamic project. I think you used cutaways and close angles very well to convey the story without needing elaborate sets, yet you used just enough props and set pieces to keep things convincing. Other than from the description, I didn't find it immediately clear that they were just in a plane crash. I think a sound effect during the opening of a pilot says "mayday, we're going down" into the radio would have made this clearer. I also think it was a bit unnatural to not have dialogue in this sort of storyline -- with the traumatic event that just happened and the two characters who know each other, some talking would seem natural and would help to convey emotion. Cinematography was beautiful and well-constructed, but a few more long shots might have provided some nice contrast and helped to convey the vastness of the wilderness. I was impressed by editing, especially with the quick cuts during the scene where the one brother lowers the other down the side of the cliff with the rope (a stunt that was impressive in itself). Nice work, as usual!
Wow 🤩 those are some really helpful tips! For our next film (post apocalyptic) we are going to try really hard to get that dialogue in there🙌 always good to have constructive criticism to help us grow 👍 thank you 😊 glad you liked the film 👏
Another great one guys. I really loved the locations you chose. It takes a good filmaker to keep an audience captive without using dialogue to tell the story. I see your skill level going up with each offering.
Believe it or not we used the same locations as the other survival movie Disoriented! Just had more experience this time🙌. We are really going to try and add dialogue to the films in the future 👍, glad you liked it!
I agree. Very good camera work as well. You had a bunch of layers of the story that all had their own time, yet they bended so well Looking forward to seeing your next short film. Keep u the great work!!!!!!
Oh freaking WOW. This was awesome. I'm a beginner filmmaking and after watching how good your cinematography is... makes me just want to start everything I've ever done over from scratch. Lol. Seriously, I love this and your work is very inspiring. I just subbed you.
FATHER AND SONS Thanks for sharing this "family" production. The absence of dialogue prompted viewers to imagine what the two survivors were thinking. At first, it appeared as though the two boys were the same boy, then twins, then an older and a younger brother. The open-ending was somewhat ambiguous, even given the clue in the First Aid Kit, but the absence of closure enabled viewers to project their own preferred versions. Given their bright red winter jackets, black hats, black trousers and black boots, in contrast to a large frozen pond covered in pure white snow, it is same to assume that somebody will notice them as a miracle from above.
It’s better to stay at the plane wreckage and make the biggest fire possible and just keep it going until rescued. It’s easier for rescue to find you, you exert less energy and can use materials/supplies from the crash.
Great job again! Cinematography and editing/grading all was fantastic. You did really well at creating the crash site. The only thing I would have changed is to give the two characters different color jackets. With your close-ups and especially at night it became hard to tell them apart lol.
Little did they know the plane went down because the wolves have been plotting humanity’s downfall this entire time. That translation at 3:20 was killer. For having wolves in a film but also not have wolves in a film did pretty good from what I can tell. I mean, if I don’t have wolves on standby I’m sure y’all don’t either. Cinematography always be kicking *ss, colors were nice too. (Spoiler) little did they also know, the plane at the end was actually being flown by wolves :(
Thanks! We really had to think how to create a fake wolf and how we would photograph it...had a ton of fun making this though! Really loving the new camera 📸 glad you enjoyed it!👍👍
Excellent exposure values! Great use of fire. Shame actors are such snowflakes .... joke... safety is paramount. Very enjoyable use of long lens! What was it?
Everything looks too fresh and shiny. The jackets look like newly bought and roughened up a bit. The faces washed and clean and then treated with some nice red paint and black baby powder. The plane crash some neatly arranged bits of fire. Etc, you get the picture. But next time you'll do better.

Wow that’s great! Glad we inspired you! All I can say is practice makes perfect 👌 😉
solid work. was interested in seeing how this cine lens played on the black magic. thanks for the practical use of it instead of just a review.
Your welcome! It’s a great lens 👍
Really good. More please

Greate footage, keep it up ;)
Thanks! We will! 👍

That’s been tried before until they started eating each other 50+ years ago. Finally found after months of being isolated

Thanks! Yeah I realized that when I was editing the film, would have been better if the jackets were different lol
@@coyotestudios1 any hints at what your next project is going to be?

Greeetings! so unreal . have a good day! dude.
Thanks! You too!
16 minutes of absolutely nothing 👍🏼 no story or plot. Walking and being cold. Quality content.
