The mornings are the worst! Put your phone across the room so that you have to get out of the bed to turn off the alarm. Then go directly to something you look forward to: the shower, the dog, water, make coffee for your partner, whatever it is. You don't actually want to scroll, be honest with yourself, and if you add up 15 minutes every morning for a year that is 91.25 hours you are spending scrolling to wake yourself up. Do you still want to do it?! That is more than 2 full weeks of work, crazy! Get honest with yourself, truly. Keep up with striving for your goals, you got this!
The longer vlog was really enjoyable! I watch them while I work so it was nice to feel like I was on FaceTime with someone while struggling with spreadsheets lol. Also, Re: Scrolling and Screen Time, I really enjoy the built in screen time function on iPhones. You can set it to whatever time limit you want (I do 30 minutes) and then if I want to snooze it and keep scrolling it does so in 15 minute increments so I can decide each 15 minutes if I really want to keep scrolling or if I got sucked in. Just a thought!
Any change you'd share your habit tracker Google Sheet as a template? I would love to copy it and make it my own. It looks really effective!! Also, goal for the new year is to eat dinner at the table and not the couch 🙃
The best habits I adopted over the last two years for my wellbeing were not scrolling in bed and journaling. It got me through a tough mental period and continues to do so. I actually journal in the morning so I feel more ready for the day and I find it really helps me dump everything out and lift some pressure. If I need a second entry, I’ll do it. One of my goals this year is to adopt a more set nighttime routine (so far added nightly tea), more no phone periods(not easy!) and for January walking everyday even if it’s just a few minutes. I’m doing it on my walking pad or outside(snow and cold here)Once I get into it I end up doing longer because I tell myself the time will pass anyway, and gaslight myself into doing more time in five minute increments. Love the tracker you have set up. I use my notes app to track habits and in my journal track weekly focuses.
LOVE the long vlog!!! one of my resolutions was to cook and bake something i've never made before every month, and to move my body in some form of workout 3 times a week. So far so they're going good good!! Last week i made short ribs for the first time, next week im going to make banana bread pudding, and ive been strong on peloton rides and hikes :) let's keep it going!!
For your puppy biting the plant what I found worked best was give her something else to bite to redirect the behavior. So not a treat cause that’s a reward but like a chew toy anytime you see her doing that. It works for any biting - furniture, hands or whatever. Eventually it stops and they’ll know not to. My dog is a few years old now and she used to bite hands when you’d pet her and now when you pet her she grabs a toy so she has something to bite on
I've made it a habit to drink at least one glass (or ideally a full Nalgene) of water before my first cup of coffee--it's helped me stay hydrated and prioritize my water intake, since I definitely want my coffee too! love the longer vlog!
I love watching your budgeting & habit tracking videos! I would definitely be interested in your habit tracker if you’re open to sharing the template 😊
I've been struggling with depression and anxiety especially through out the holidays (I know sob story lol, thank God for my humor) but seeing you complete your goals through out the week made me so happy for you and you put that little pep in my step to focus on my mental health which has a lot to do with my day to day routine. Also, it makes so much sense how you said to set "realistic" goals to where you don't set yourself up for failure but work with your happiness also and pushing better habits.
New sub here and definitely love the longer vlogs. You’re very inspirational and I loved seeing your habit tracker in action. Definitely motivating, thank you for sharing! 🫶
For the phone thing, I’ve started turning on the Spotify AI DJ first thing and it picks music for me while I get ready. It usually helps with the scrolling! A couple years ago, I started getting into drinking water as well and the best thing that helped was the Plant Nanny app. You use it to track how much you drink and if you don’t track it then your plant dies. For some reason a digital plant was the biggest motivator for me😅
I make myself drink 1 water before I have coffee! It’s a straight chug as I’m running out of the house to work! But it makes for a very easy one water before lunch, one after lunch. I have a 40oz hydroflask
When my aussie was a puppy I worked from home so I redirected him with a toy he was allowed to chew on when he chewed on something he shouldn't and now he doesn't chew on anything! I think it's just called redirecting when you google the training
lovee the longer content! Anything by freida mcfadden always has me hooked from the beginning and most of her books are on kindle unlimited. Also Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner is a fun WLW book!
1. LOVE the long vlog! 2. LOVE The Challenge! Book Recommendations - No Exit - The Night She Disappeared - All The Dangerous Things - None of This is True - The Housemaid - If He Had Been With Me (not a thriller but still really good!)
If you find yourself struggling with water try adding some flavor. Like something as simple as lemon, mint, or cucumber. Another option would be to add something like Liquid IV or a Nuun electrolyte tablet. Not only does it give you some added hydration but the flavors sometimes make it easier to hit your water goals.
Not sure if you’ve read it but the kind worth killing by Peter Swanson is a great thriller! Fast paced and there’s a sequel called the kind worth saving
getting ready everyday doesn’t have to equal putting on make up. It can just mean shower and deodorant and a good brushing teeth session with flossing and then skin care! it doesn’t have to be anything crazy esp when make up clogs the skin
If you made this habit tracker a purchasable download, I would definitely be one to pay for it! I love all the details you’ve added!

Thank you for the perspective, I needed that!?
Wow this perspective. Thank you.
Big yes for 30 min videos! I actually hate watching short vlogs. 10-3-30 on the treadmill with a 30 min video is the only way for me to exercise LOL
Love your habit tracker, definitely interested in how you created it
Love the longer vlogs for sure! Also this is the motivation and positivity I needed right now 💛
The first year of having a puppy is like having a toddler! They require so much attention and training. It gets easier, hang in there! 😊

Love the long content! I throw it on while cleaning or walking in the walk-in pad!!! ❤ 24’ goal- overall wellness!

I’m a new fan within the last 6 months or so and I love your videos so much 💖 thank you for sharing your life!!!
Putting down time limits on my apps is the only thing that’s helped me scroll less in the morning! It’s so hard haha
This vlog 😭😭😭 loved it so much and just watched as I cleaned. I love the habit tracker you must drop the link!
