I just think "Dead Goon" "Platypus" "squeeze me macaroni" i.e songs that have insane brilliant Bass lines that you can hear, not to mention everything else where the part doesn't place the part front and center but he's holding down the low end of INSANE complex parts

hope Bungle comes out and does some shows 2022 or 2023. didn't have a chance to see them back in the day, and was out of it in 2020. who else would feel blessed to be able to see California Live, from beginning to end?

every time someone says "who's trevor dunn?" i play them dead goon. i've changed many bass players' lives for the better with that.

I found some piano covers of California recently. The ones that stand out are his compositions, they're very harmonically dense and interesting.

The bassline for Dead Goon is still a wonder for the ears. Don't get me wrong, he's done it several times. But that line was the 1st time Trevor Dunn twisted my lil brain into a knot.

Great interview. Way back in the early 90's I went to a Mr. Bungle show in San Jose, CA at a place called The Cactus Club. A friend of mine was a bartender there and would sometimes let me go into the kitchen area to get free food. One day he said "Yo those dudes are back here, you should come meet them". I walk back there, I these two guys laughing like crazy in front of the french fry machine, with their dongs hanging out pissing into the fryer oil, it was patton and dunn. I was mortified. Turned around and got out of there as fast as I could. Later on I saw people eating french fries just replaying what I saw in my head and what they were eating. Oof.

very laid back cool interview style, i dig! never heard trevor dunn interviewed before so thank you. their london gig on california tour for me as a 15 year old at the time was a priceless experience, amazing performance and they had a magician as the support act. (magician- "what's the magic word everybody?" crowd- "fuck off!". he and his assistant got beered badly). oh what a night.
this is where the comment gets less palatable maybe. but it is opinion! and i respect the different opinions of everyone else. say and think what you will. i'm just saying this because by some of the comments you and trevor made, it's clear you aren't aware of the revelations made by some important independent scientists. it's not an attempt to make you or anyone else be all preachy like this or "proclaim from the window tops!", it's cos you're two cool guys who should at least have the opportunity to hear the truth (which, although raises some new concerns, certainly eases the big ones!). and the truth is, no one knows for sure. no one. but the government and news are stating certain things are facts in regards to the current situation which are not. they are theories, based on reasonable presumptions, but not facts. i'm simply going to outline the far more likely scenario on a microscopic level. because the by-products of playing the "better safe than sorry" game are actually damaging people's health, and not just oxygen depletion through coverings; our state of mind is being shown to be so much more important now for health than was ever even considered. true appreciation of what our cells are doing and how mystical (which i don't use lightly) they are is self perpetuating for strength and positivity. that's a discovery worth writing a thesis of a youtube comment for in case it eases someone elses mind. i remember how scared i was at the start of this whole thing before i heard the evidence.
louis pasteur admitted in his personal diaries and on his death bed that he never infected any person or animal with purely cultured bacteria (he poisoned people with arsenic to keep his theory going). professors have ingested entire test tubes of purely cultured listeria with no ill effects, because they weren't feeding, and breaking down, the toxins they experience 'in the wild'. in other words, it's the micro toxins which they expunge which can be damaging to health, not the actual bacteria themselves. how does this pertain to what is going right now? well, we each have over 300 trillion viruses in our bodies, they are en ever present resident. when we experience toxins/stress/insults(eg radiation)/injury, viruses become activated. judy mikovitz explained that "some cause terrible lesions", "some tear through cells", but that is because some are pushing toxins out of the body, some are creating 'firebreaks' of poisonous cells, they perform vital tasks in our bodies. although it is possible to die of the symptoms caused by viruses, this disguises the actual original cause of illness and that the person would have died of poisoning anyway, despite their cell's best efforts by activating viruses (which are not living things). most of the time the process of shedding toxins is not fatal and only mild symptoms occur (runny nose etc). judy mikovitz has also isolated and shown viruses to be infectious, but not illness-inducers. if anything, a viral particle would merely strengthen the arsenal of someone's immune system for future toxic experiences, in other words positively contagious. i'm gonna leave a couple of links in case anyone's interested, this shit be important.
