Pedro is the perfect film buddy. Pretty much his entire list was made up of films that I’ve either seen or are on my wish list. He’d be a great cinema date. I can imagine enjoying the movie even more just from his reactions
He just seems very nice. Like he could be that cool freewheeling uncle or your best friend. He just seems humble and down to earth. Plus the man is killing it in every role he acts and picks. For me, he's up there with Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford. He just seems infectiously happy. He's quickly becoming a cinema classic.

I hope to see Pedro in a really good film one of these days, I know he appreciates them so why not star in one. Its crazy to hear him say that about blade runner, because I had a similar experience with the sequel in the cinema. Id become jaded in my adult years, thinking I already had my best cinema experiences behind me as an impressionable kid. But blade runner 2049 blew my tiny mind. Its criminal to watch that movie on anything other than a huge cinema screen with booming audio
I felt the same way about Juliette Lewis in Cape Fear. I was like "who the hell is this actor? She's great." That first scene she has with DeNiro is one of the most natural performances ever.

Die hard is for me the greatest action movie ever.And believe I have seen every great action movie. The shining is the greatest horror movie of all time despite not being a horror movie. Two amazing picks by pedro sir.

For sure. It never fails to impress me how Kubrick tackled a different genre in each movie and those turned out to be some of the best movies in their respective genres: The Shining, 2001: a space odissey, Fullmetal Jacket, etc

@_V_ So? Most of the books he adapts end up unrecognizable. You can say that for so many different movies (ie: The Godfather). Also, if you think movies are a story and not how that story is told, then you're mistaken, I'm afraid yo say. Each genre has its own language, its own requirements in storytelling, and Kubrick understood that like no one else.

It's very simple, having a source material to follow is much easier than doing it from scratch, if you can comprehend this, you are mistaken, I'm afraid to say. There are many directors which are either on his level or above and off course more original than him. American werewolf in London!!! One of my fave movies. I saw it when I was 8 and it both thrilled and terrified me . Also being British I enjoyed the werewolf lore being in the uk !

I saw Candyman in the theater sat between my GF and her sister. They almost gave me a heart attack when they both jumped in their seat at a jump scare,.
I hope he does a Coen Brothers movie some day. I feel like he could get their tone down really well. He can be serious and funny sometimes at the same time.
