From Chile. Whenn i was 16 Years old I heard and danced the song " End of the world" IT was with my first girlfriend . Now i am 61. Bautifull song and I fell like crying, because now the world is dying....nobody has consciouness.
Fuck man, I oddly understand. the world today feels like hell on terms of lack of rights or even violations of them. I wonder if anything will get better in this lifetime that I have to live through. I mean, I can't talk with people without the worry of being throwing out of my career or life. I feel like I'm the black sheep at times, I just feel hopeless for the future and my life and others, It's like feeling of the world burning and being helpless to do anything. seeing all the shitty things that happen in this day in age, seeing dictatorships on the rise and only the starting of them. I just see hell awaiting me. I noticed more degeneracy in most people of my generation, self entitled brats that give a rats ass about others. A part of me feels that maybe an atomic bomb would be better then this, cause at least I wouldn't have to see the end of this world and the complete incompetence that's showing. the slow cultural decay of everything that's been built before us. I hope things go will for you, because I don't think things are going anywhere great. may god have mercy on us, because honestly. I don't think mercy is even going to be a thing 100 years from now. hope I'm wrong and the government is overthrowing with something that allows freedom of speech and leaders that do something to help the people they rule over but that just wishful thinking. I hope things get better but if they don't then good luck. Sorry about ranting to you, just had this on my chest for a while now. anyway thanks for reading what I had to say. Hope life treats you will. Thought I say thank you again just because I felt like maybe I should say it again. anyway, take care and have a nice one.
Aphrodite's Child - A truly unique sound with no piers. Amazing foresight to do such a dismal subject in a positive context. The end is the beginning for a glorious career for both Roussos and the incredible Vangelis. A rare Greek rock band that quickly went to World stature. There has never been anyone like them . . . anywhere.
I remember in 1985 I played this song full blast and the two girls riding in my 1977 maverick were taken aback, one liked it and the other not so much, I did not care, Aphrodites child was cutting edge.
Great late 60s-early 70s euro rock! They ride the same wave as Vanilla Fudge, Deep Purple, Zepplin and Pink Floyd. This band had 2 giants in DR and Vangelis. Just wsh they had toured more! Their 1973 landmark lp '666' still classic...song 'Aegean Sea' still powerful !
