It's mostly due to poor planning on their part. With the kind of money they have they can easily afford to live in well planned areas and have access to good social amenities but some arrive in the country without prior research and end up in unplanned areas far from western standard facilities. For now not all neighbourhoods in Accra are well planned, it will take some decades before Ghana, Nigeria and other West African countries will be fully developed nation wide, but we'll get there.

Most developed including most parts of Nima, Teshie, Osu, Agbogbloshie, Jamestown, Korle gonno, etc, etc? And that’s not to mention poor residential area roads, drainage system, lack of adequate sidewalks/pavements, poor sanitation, etc in most areas …

What good is this so called beauty if only corrupt people, politicians and foreigners get to enjoy them while the masses suffer in unplanned areas like Ashaiman and chorkor ? The country is not very well planned. Garbage everywhere, open gutters, no pedestrian walkways, drivers and police alike do not respect traffic rules, overpricing of items and real estate and just indiscipline all over. We have to talk about these issue cos Ghana is gradually being destroyed. A better form of education geared towards vocational and nation building courses, doing away with religion and instilling discipline in the kids is needed urgently. A strong leadership is needed ASAP!
You’re spot on chairman. Aside all the problems faced the country, there should definitely be something we can be proud of as a nation. Mind you, there’s no country in the world that doesn’t have its own problems. I personally don’t like the filth in the country, it keeps engulfing the country as the days go by
