One of my favorite series. John Gwynne is a must read! Loved this series of videos. Truly heartbreaking the tragedy that has befallen him. He’s in my prayers. I hope he writes many more books, but if he retires he will be one of my favorites.

Trigg broke my heart she was a tragic character and I really hope would get her name cleared. I felt invested in her as this outsider who no one trusted but they had sort of taken in bit did not understand. I really liked her friendship with Haeleun and wanted them to find each other in the Forrest. The way she was not believed hurt and I could see why she made the big mistake she did, which hurt more. I was so pleased to see her in Wrath find Haeleun again and want to make amends for what she did. I wanted her named Cywen gets the info credit and I wanted Heuluen to name his "friend" that bought Corban's makeshift etc back. I wanted Wulf and the clan to know she did not betray them. Yes she had a Chou e and she acknowledged it was a bad choice but her "you were so quick to believe I would betray you all" was so sad. Our treatment of people Influences the choices they make. Tragic side story but one I really cared about and keep thinking back to.
Edana is a superb character. Her development from the beginning of the series to Wrath felt so organic! I also agree that Gwynne's characterization of Trigg was well done. Well, for all of his characters, but yeah. Trigg pissed me off when she betrayed everyone but seeing that she tried to make amends for what she did was nice. I'm glad you loved these two characters, too!

Hi Petrik! I just finished reading the Faithful and the Fallen quartet, and what a treat it was watching you discuss Wrath with the Boss himself. Thank you very much for the respect you gave the series along with your booktube friends, if not for you guys I don't think I would have been acquainted with Corban's motley crew. While waiting for my Blood and Bone trilogy to arrive, do you have any suggestions among these choices of books for me to read while that stash is coming? 1. Heroes Die 2. Malefiscent Seven 3.Best Served Cold 4. Scourge of the Betrayer Thanks!

@@PetrikLeo yes I do love shadow of the God's! It was my first Gwynne on shelf-space book club. I am wanting to re-read it before Hunger, and i think I will love it even more on a re-read because I can take my time instead of rushing as though my readubg speed is related to the action running with my mental shield hoping people don't die! (Which they do 😢)
i have just finished Wrath wowee what a ride 😊 I loved the books the story telling and the world he built was just beautiful work of art, I loved the twists in the story and how all the characters had so many layers and for me only the best fantasy authors can produce that amount of emotion as he did with his characters. I might be in the minority but my fav book was valour, especially for a second book in the series so much emotion and at the end he hit us with so many big moments plus ..."I'll not be killing you, my brother.not this day not ever" was one the greatest lines ever written he had convinced me he was going to kill Orgull! I think if the books got adaptation to big or small screen this could be one of the best cinematography events we have ever seen , I was just imagining lykos face when it looked like he was winning middle of huge battle ...and then you see wedge of men coming towards him 1 man at the front him killing everything in their path heading straight for him and then he hears the chant old wolf from the men! it would epically awe inspring, be like the end of last samurai or bravheart moment but maybe even better. The end of the wrath had such a warm feeling like love and family but not just your blood kin but the people we pick up along the way and the bonds that form .
Glad you loved the series that much. Honestly, no matter which book in the series you pick as your favorite, it would be valid. Each book has their own strength, and I loved the line you spotlighted so much. This is the kind of series that has the potential to work so well being adapted. I hope that day will come. Awesome to see everyone's reaction, I finished this series years ago and easily my favorite series. Seeing everyone's reaction to the series has been refreshing. Camlen (I think that's how you spell it, it's been a minute), and Maquin were my favorite characters for sure
I have literally finished Wrath - I have bothered Abby with all my thought as I was reading as there are no readalongs or anyone to talk to about it. I am a mess and have immediately come here for closure! Thanks in advance everyone. This has been a ride! I am grieving I am highly satisfied, I am excited for my favourites and I am still processing everything!
Leaving it several months but will be back leaving late comments all over the Blood and Bone Videos...any chance you will do Bloodsworm Saga live show?
12:04 - yes Alex, Abby and Allen the coming full circle, missing the setup and have the emotional moment was beautiful. SPILOER SPOILER I thought both Gar and Corban were dead at the end of their chapters, everyine coming in for a group death hug was highly emotional, Calidius being fed to something in the other world was satisfying. Then Corban returning having his moment with Gar just destroyed me it was BEAUTIFUL and I loved it!
Hi group Gwynne. A great ending to an awesome series. My favorite is the third book. It would be great to have a short story about corban and a partners in life after the war. Truth and courage🐺⚔🛡
@@PetrikLeo Glad you got my comment, my previous comments with updated links seemed to be deleted automatically. Regardless, John Gwynne is a really cool dude and it's cool to see you guys get him in on the discussion. Full disclaimer though, I haven't read the series yet (just not enough time for me) so I just watch the short non-spoiler talk which I'm glad you include. Cheers.
And massive yes to how satisfying Lykos death was and Maquin getting closure from it - to the point I am actually feeling concerned about my self with how bloodthirsty and torturous I wanted it to be.
I totally understand that, I felt like Lykos deserve a much bloodier and worse death for all the things he did. But this will have to do, for now, I doubt anything could make me fully satisfied anyway. What an evil dude! xD
@@PetrikLeo 😆😆😆😆 eaten alive by ants is pretty horrific to be fair. I think he was top of the list to die horribly for everyine. He has not been toppled from Villain I love to hate yet.
18:48 my comments ate basically going to be yes me too 😆 Spoiler I was unsure if Nathair was going to switch sides or have a moment of redemption, maybe through dying: going out doing something like killing Calidius. I loved all the scenes between Veradis and Nathair. And the final moment when Veradis kills him was very emotionally satisfying. I am glad Alycon could comfort his emotional turmoil.
I completely agree! It was also heartbreaking to see Veradis killing Nathair. Veradis really wanted to serve and be his best friend, but he's just too far gone. :/

WHHHAAAT?!... definitely excited for this.
Yesssss!!! 😄
Wrath is still my favorite book by John Gwynne to this day. You're so welcome. I'm glad this video could help you a bit! :)
@@PetrikLeo it helped alot, closure was achieved 😃 and hunger if the God's has now been pre-ordered 😃
Leaving it several months but will be back leaving late comments all over the Blood and Bone Videos...any chance you will do Bloodsworm Saga live show?
26:56 - "Rafe has a million choices not to be garbage" 🤣
But he still chose to be garbage 😂
@@PetrikLeo such a great line from Alex - I will now Think of Rafe as Garbage-Rafe 😆
12:04 - yes Alex, Abby and Allen the coming full circle, missing the setup and have the emotional moment was beautiful. SPILOER
SPOILER
I thought both Gar and Corban were dead at the end of their chapters, everyine coming in for a group death hug was highly emotional, Calidius being fed to something in the other world was satisfying. Then Corban returning having his moment with Gar just destroyed me it was BEAUTIFUL and I loved it!
Gar being dead is still one of the saddest moments I've ever read :')
Hi group Gwynne. A great ending to an awesome series. My favorite is the third book. It would be great to have a short story about corban and a partners in life after the war. Truth and courage🐺⚔🛡
Truth and Courage! Hopefully that standalone novel will appear one day! 😄
@@PetrikLeo Standalone novel would be a dream come true🤩
Hey Petrik, just wanted to mention that your links to the previous discussions are broken. Thanks for the video, cheers.
Thanks for letting me know, Jonathan! No idea how that happened, but should be fixed now! 😊
18:48 my comments ate basically going to be yes me too 😆
Spoiler
I was unsure if Nathair was going to switch sides or have a moment of redemption, maybe through dying: going out doing something like killing Calidius.
@@PetrikLeo was close to tears at that point, but I saved them all for Ban and Gar😭😭😭
John Gwyne is a king 👑 finishing wrath now and it’s one of my favourite series of all time now.
Yeahh! One of the kings of fantasy, imo! Truth and Courage! 😄
I love this series
Same here. One of my top favorite series of all time! 😊
Corban killing calidus' soul was awesome.
Totally. One of the best scenes from the book! 😃
Only 8 minutes in but i already know this will be awesome 👌
Thank you! I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the video! 😊
I did but i did not want it to end 😂. Very cool conversation. Can't wait to read the new novel.
Now is the time to write that Corban standalone .
Oh man that would be amazing!
This is insane!!!
It is!!! 😄
Best moment is the final resolution with what happens to Camlin truth and courage
Truth and Courage!!! So many amazing moments in this book! 🥲
Maquin and Fidele to the eternity
Love them both so much! 😊
John Gwyne is the man!
Hear hear!!!
Stand alone with Corban? YEAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!
Yeah!!! Let's hope that day comes sooner than later! 😄
DREM is the coolest!!!!
I LOVE Drem!! 😄
@@PetrikLeo I’m getting ready to start a time of Blood.
