I've been reminiscing about my home state of Arizona recently. I now live in the Tampa Bay area, and we just went through Hurricane Helene. Clearwater Beach and most of the west coast of Florida took a pounding with 4 to 7 ft storm surge. I was at Clearwater Beach this last February, and it was cold and beautiful with a rare deep blue sky. Now that area is totally ruined for some time. I'm actually from Kingman and Flagstaff. I do miss Arizona at times. I've been away for over 40 years now. If I ever get back out there. Lake Havasu and the London Bridge are on my to-do list!

Love it Russ! Learned how to water ski there in '73. Nine guys in a 22x flat bottom with a 327 v-drive . The guys made me deep-water start on one ski. Took me 8 tryst with the guys tossing full beer cans at me as they cam back to give me handles. I did make it up, on one, never needed the second one, and had the opportunities to ski many more times in my 20xs and 39xs. Seeing the water in your presentation brought back a lot of wonderful memories. I adore your videos! Thanks Again Russ

Low 90's to 95 two decades back spring break (March) when I stayed three days in a motel. Who could survive the 115 degree summers! Russ show the folks the neighborhoods. I was taken back by the wide smooth streets with the desert styled homes and the lack of utility service that usually runs along a normal street. Once off the main road, I don't remember seeing light poles along the sidewalks. Two thing stood out in my memory of Havasu was the crystal clear water in the park swimming hole and, above all, everything was new. I mean there was no poor part of town. Hey let's dig a ditch and build a new town from scratch. Enjoyed, cr

The heat in the summer is exactly why I have to move to higher elevation. The area is beautiful and like you said expensive. The time has come to get to cooler temps now for me. 🌲🌳🌲

Hey Russ, we live in Havasu and have been here for three years. It’s cheaper here then California, and yes it gets warm in the summer. With that being said, we wear shorts better part of the year. We have RV hook ups at the house if you ever need a place to recharge or hang out for a few days, would love to have you

Timed it perfectly with my morning cup of tea! Do they have boat races out there? I can only remember the smaller model sized ones. Rooster tail on those big boats such fun! Only catch a few boats here and there …

It looks like it falls off right at the shoreline...................John (west coast, Can.)

Nice video, Russ. I enjoyed the walk down around the bridge. The little snack shack had awesome fish and chips, but the boat tour company, that used to offer rides down to Copper Canyon, and all the way up the Colorado River, wasn't there anymore. Last time I was at London Bridge Resort was before the pandemic, and it's possible some of those businesses did not survive.

Looks like a beautiful place! Love those cabins at the State Park, but I bet they are expensive!? If you could even get one anytime soon! 😊
My sister's and their significant others are about to make their first trip out west in a new to them, but a used RV! What would be a most needed item or items for the RV!? Thanks for your help! Blessings for your Easter and the rest of the year! Safe travels!
