Monumental realization by a group of compas greats within their own individual rights. They came from different walks of earth to assemble the best version of mini-jazz known in several decades arguably ! It wasn’t done in a state of perfection, it was lacking in the area of sound engineering , management and basic band discipline . By the grace of God who cannot be defeated when you’re blessed as his chosen one , they held on to the torch of number one on a banner that could not be disputed. Big shout out in spirit to the departed, my good friend Zouzoule who practically gave his life to the survival of Skah Shah number one, Mario Mayala who surprised everyone from the school of Serge Rosenthal to come out as very disciplined guitar soloist . The rest of the band are still with us although segregated , if anyone can put something together with them, count me into some level of support capacity ! Batter les mains pour les Skah Shah greats !!!
Drum player Arsene Apollon is one of the best I used to go to his house located on rue Pavé almost at the intersection of rue Montalais On the second floor, i knew his younger brother, Carlo. Arsene used to teach me the basic of drumming, then i developed a love for percussion, drums etc. Very nice guy. He was a.big brother type for me.
