Another great episode! We always use a mix my wife invented to slow the midges and even mozzies - we mix 1/3 baby oil, 1/3 dettol and 1/3 metho in a bottle. Rub it into the skin, particularly around the areas where they get under your clothes to get out of the wind like sleeves, necks of shirts and trousers legs. Might not be so good while wearing swimmers, but should help while sleeping or sitting around the boat. We have come to love the smell of the dettol and associate it with not being stung!! Keep up the great episodes.

when we were young, my partner and I traveled the world, but especially the forests and mountains (and did that exploration for a career). Never the oceans. Now we're old, but that's ok. We have each other (and our daughter and granddaughters), and our memories. I learned a lot, much of which I learned from nature, but even more from my partner. But the most important thing I learned is to cherish those you love and never be embarrassed to do so. You guys are showing me a side of nature I never was able to experience. Thanks for that, so I'm learning more and I thank you.

We just got back to the US from Australia. We spent half of the trip on a cruise ship and part in Sydney. We did visit a couple of the islands on Vanuatu....and the zoo. That was as close as we came to roughing it.😜

For those who Anchor around these areas over night here's how to have Crays for Breakfast.
Empty an Onion Sack stick a fish head in and tie very firmly to your anchor ... normally 2 per onion sack.

My grandpa would take me to Port Tampa in the mid 1970’s. These huge schools of giant mullet would swim by and he would throw a weighted treble hook. A snatch hook we called it. He would catch 8 or 10 in an hour, fill a 5 gallon bucket and we would be back home cleaning and smoking mullet. You cut the spine out, leave the stomach attached and it opens like a butterfly 🎉 Just some rib bones left

Get a Geiger detector might solve some of those questions of dead animal remote islands. Nuclear testing being done in those remote areas in the past 60 years.
