The three pieces on the soundboard are the seams in the veneer. Zuckermann used 3 ply, 1/8 inch thick poplar plywood, for zbox soundboards. You'll never run the risk of a cracked soundboard.
Interesting video! I'm looking forward to hearing some early music on a healthy happy harpsichord. There was an abrupt ending, though: "I finally found... [ends]". Was that intentional? Do we get to know what you finally found in part 3?
Ya, I had to create a cliffhanger somehow! I’m working on several selections from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book as well as some basic Bach. PLUS, I’m working on using historical fingering!

It's not the string that's needs replacing on the fifth note, it's the plectra needs adjustment, or the damper felt is a tad too low. 😉
Yep! In the next Part, I figured that out and I re-voice that plectra (and a few others).
