    We have a 2022. Traded in a 2019. It was a lease and we intended to buy it, but they gave us an offer we couldn't refuse to lease the 2022. Only gripe is that the 2022 did not come with the tow package, apparently there is a supply chain issue. We will keep this truck for at least 10 years. It's great on the highway.

Also if u can afford this suv u can afford the gas lol yes its not the best but its actually better mpg than my 2003 v8 ls430 lol because of the eco drive

    I have a 2010 gx460. My one month review is this. I don’t wanna sit or drive another car. I also have a 2014 q50 and it’s nice but isn’t luxurious after I drove the gx460. Cheap luxury vs focused luxury.

      @@FreelikeaBird999 the breaks take time to get used to. If you slam on it cause something jumped out the nose dives and the abs pumps like it’s not tuned good enough to be stable. Now for mpg if I use 87 I get 17-18 mpg highway if I use 93 I get about 21-22 mpg

      @@youtubecomments5951 wow you can get that good number on the mpg . I’m looking at a white one 2018 with 40k on the odometer. For 40k in south California here and the gas is nearly 5 dollars now…. . Thanks for your reply . And have you experienced the leaning problem? Reviews here saying the car leans to the passenger’s side .

      @@FreelikeaBird999 wow $5. That’s absurd. I pay about 3.5-3.7 for 93. Haven’t noticed any lean though. Car is super sodt and silky. Many people don’t like it being so soft. But I love it.

    LOL good ole "FF" below rips you for calling it a truck...keep it up, cause everyone I know calls these things a truck! I'm interested in a used GX 460 TRUCK and I decided a CPO'd one is the only way to go. Glad to hear of your similar comments, and excellent review. Thanks and you helped me with my decision! Jim

      So a truck. Full timeFWD. Body on frame. Heavy as fuck. Can do truck things. It's a truck!
      Better then a truck imo because of third seating. It's like a truck with a closed cabin. This would make it better in really cold environments.

    Just bought a certified GX460 with 68,000 miles. Love it! I had a Lexus LX 470 and put 250,000 miles on it and it was still going strong. Don’t be afraid of the miles, these Toyotas (Lexus’s) can go forever. I traded a 2018 Jeep Rubicon which I used some off road (Moab). The GX is stock so I won’t be taking it some places where I took the Jeep but for my money there’s no comparison!

    • @willtuanaki1854
      @willtuanaki1854 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      My wife and I had a 2012 Highlander for a couple years, then traded in for the 2016 GX460. Either choice you make would be a good one imo. The Highlander is lighter, sportier, more agile and can handle great in the city, and also has the third row. Better mpg also. And uses 87. The GX is heavier, less get up, but of course is also more stout, and I fully expect 300k miles out of her. Depends on your budget, use, and parameters, but again, no major setbacks in either choice. They’re both very reliable and won’t leave you stranded in the boondocks with your wife looking flustered.

    CHANGE YOUR OWN blooming oil-- it's NOT that hard- just need that tool.. For brakes- I'd go POWER brand.. they make GREAT upgrade brakes.. I AM mechanically reclined (and yes I meant RECLINED- retired really- not physically able to do a lot any more).. and USE to do most if mine myself. I'm looking to get a GX-- anything from 90 up to about 2015.. so 470 for the older up to 460 newer.. all these are documented of lasting a million miles!!!

    I just bought this car couple weeks ago , this is my first V8 car, and I figured out this car really drinking Premium Gas like water , my Toyota Camry full fill only like 30 dollars , and could drive like 30 miles per gallon, but this car drive average 15 miles per gallon, full fill 60 dollars , and when I drive it on the high way , the average speed keep dropping from 80 to 65 easily , and I have to speed up again , I’m not sure it’s because I m new to this car ? Or this car it’s too heavy ??

    • @greenhavennn
      @greenhavennn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Your description fits my situation in reverse. I had a 2001 Toyota Tundra with 4.7L V8 which I drove for 16 yrs. It averaged 12-14 mpg in the city and yes, it was expensive to fill up with that 21 gal. fuel tank. I absolutely loved that Tundra as it was reliable and very durable. Unfortunately, a lady ran a stop sign one day while I was out on the road and my beloved Tundra was totaled after being t-boned.
      I ended up buying a new 2018 Honda CRV with a 1.5L Turbo 3 yrs ago. It's a fun little vehicle to drive and I'm able to get 28-30 mpg, even with my heavy foot. It's cheap to fuel and run because of the tiny engine it.
      This gets me back to your concern. That GX 460 weighs over 5000 lbs, has a 6-spd auto, a V8 and is built like a tank. The trade-off is that you're going to get 15mpg or less in city driving. To me, the trade-off is worth it for what you get in return. It's a beast with a legendary history. It's world famous for its Toyota durability, as it's in the same Toyota family as the Land Cruiser and 4Runner. Comparing your Camry to the GX460 is like comparing King Kong to Mickey Mouse. Give it some time. You'll adjust to your new GX 460 and will come to appreciate its strengths. I'm currently shopping around for a Lexus RX350 or late model 4Runner. I always thought the GX460 (even used) would be out of my reach, but I was wrong. I just discovered that a 2-3 yr old GX is priced similar to the same age 4Runners that I've been looking at. So now I'm leaning strongly toward the GX.
      Enjoy your GX 460. You're driving a legendary beast!

    • @greenhavennn
      @greenhavennn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just fyi. Manufacturers nowadays get their bumper covers (among other things) from sub-contractors. Even though the paint used is OEM spec, it's possible that the paint on plastic bumper covers can react differently than the OEM paint on the metal surfaces of the vehicle, hence the mismatched look. On the other hand, the GX is built in Japan so I don't know if the Lexus factory there uses any sub-contractor supplied body parts.

    Have some one same color but i hate one thing i hate is wear on driver seat. Other is if 3rd row up there is no space like a gallon of milk exactly thats how much will be space up there. Also its a bit small for family if you have small kids. I would not recommend if you have small kids look something like escalade oe new lincoln navigator. Until lexus step up the game and make a family friendly suv would go somewhere else. Thats my 2 cents
