John, I believe the red pointer gets pushed or pulled along by the black one and when the black one returns to zero, the red one stays where it was so you can see the result. That way you don't need to actually look while testing.

spin that red pointer counter clockwise to zero. then it will move to the highest point of the needle.

Hey John, WOW.... you really put some effort into the testing! Thank you so much for that.
We really appreciate your honest review in real time. How would you classify the type of substrate there you were testing in?
In talking to some Geo-Engineers recently I found out there are a couple of different tests that can be done: 1/ Like you just did here and 2/ A sudden pull like for real if a strong gust of wind happened.
What one of our early reviewers who sets up large festival art tents said is what he likes about these versus rebar is that rebar or common stakes have a catastrophic failure, where they just let go and slide out whereas GroundGrabba's with their flights (or flutes) give a controlled failure. I think your video showing the scales actually proved that where the scale hit a peak then slowly reduced.
Thank you again for taking the time to set that all up and video it. Best regards David

As for a name...I'd go with 'Land Anchor(ing) System' (or Land Anchors).
You get them properly placed...whatever they're attached to ain't going nowhere.

The red hand on your dil indicates if reset will record highest tension recorded

you need to set the red needle at zero in the counter clock wise direction . It's a tell tale, will show the highest reading on the pull

It’s kind of a good idea to have them to be longer than just minutes at a time. You’re not going to get people to subscribe and be interested for movies that are only a minute or two long you just don’t keep the audience interested.
