Pascal Siakam’s development really is a 1 of 1. Not a single person saw him turning into an All-NBA caliber player. His scoring has got so elite man it’s crazy
Definitely not elite scoring neither, just an average on the fence All star player. If it wasnt for playing on a bad team, he wouldn't be an all star and he is just a sidekick caliber player and not even elite sidekick.
@@CastawayBenchwhich literally Giannis and Jokic did it better and far better talents. Giannis and Jokic were just as much of a project as Siakam was, players that wasn't even sure if they would be playing basketball when they were already in their adult lives.
I think the problem with Ben Simmons is that he’s suffering from an anxiety disorder caused by the pressures of being the #1 pick and having to perform in the playoffs. His continued presence in the NBA is doing nothing good for his mental health. He has to get serious psychological help, and perhaps may need to retire.
While I would not be surprised if he suffers from some sort of anxiety, I doubt it has something to do with where he was drafted but his own post-season play. In the end, Ben killed his own career. He outright has refused to learn to shoot, being offered the opportunity by some of the best shooting coaches. He has been quoted by several sources as having said "he does not need to learn how to shoot."
This was probably the draft that really showed how far the international game has gone how global the game had progressed as players likes Simmons, Hield, Poetl who came from nontraditional basketball markets were at the forefront but that being said, it also shows how bad international scouting and can be as many of those selected would bust out pretty spectacularly (Bender, Yabusele)
The 3 players you named WENT THROUGH THE COLLEGE ROUTE, which players from other countries still went through. This draft did show that the NBA started to take more risks in international talent but at the same time this draft slowed it down when so many of them failed to stay in the NBA and part of the reason why there was QUESTIONS ABOUT LUKA COMING INTO THE 2018 DRAFT. You can tell the NBA tapered off international players when in 2017 many college stars of one and done came into the league.
Really like that you highlight these guys outside of just players but as people from different walks of life. Makes you appreciate that even a “bust” making the league is still a huge achievement and success story
Im a big Nuggets fan. Love Joker, but the team would not be the same without Jamal Murray. He is an amazing player. Lethal scorer and an underrated passer
Yes good content, but Jake layman? Not funny! Second round role player, not bad 6 seasons. Thon contributed way less at a #10 lottery pick. Wishing both players success overseas!
Craziest thing about Malachi Richardson- he got drafted during my graduation year, and my girlfriend at the time was obsessed w him and thought he’d be a star. I remember posting my graduation cap with Malachi on it on twitter and getting a follow back. 😂 she was wrong about his career but
NBA Champ Pascal is the best player in this class. Not only is he an amazing scorer and playmaker on offence but his defence is high level as well and is a very underappreciated part of his game. He's also the most decorated player in his class.
I'm a Raptors fan. there is a solid case to put him at number 1 but with people like Jamal Murray, and Sabonis along with Brown and Dejounte it's safe to say he would be a top 5 or 6 pick in a redraft.
Great video as usual! So glad I found this channel! Btw it it pronounced Ma-Ka-Bi for Maccabi Tel Aviv, but it is something everyone doesn't get right lol
If Ben Simmons had been good at jump shots and 3-point shots, he could have truly become a superstar player. He lacked passion and motivation for basketball, but it is true that the Sixers were able to return to being a powerhouse team thanks to him. The 2016 NBA Draft didn't produce any superstar players who would be inducted into the Hall of Fame after retirement, but it wasn't the worst draft ever.
If I was 6'11 and had a jumper and a three point shot, I'd be in the NBA too. That point is completely moot. Thats like saying "I'd be good at hockey if I could skate" well if you can't skate, you aren't good at hockey. So because Ben simmons can't shoot, he's not good at basketball. Idk why sixers fans always do the "if 1+1=3" the whole premise is stupid.
The Cavs 2013 draft is on par with Phoenix in 2016. Anthony Bennett first overall, then Sergey Karasev at 19 over Mason Plumlee, Rudy Gobert, Reggie Bullock, Andre Roberson, and Tim Hardaway Jr. Then we had a good pick at 31, Allen Crabbe, probably the best second rounder in the draft! …who we traded for Carrick Felix. Yuck.
Don’t forget, buddy hield was also player of the year that season at OU. It was pointlessly given to Denzel Valentine is a huge snubbing. Buddy was easily player of the year that year.
Glad to see somebody give Brogdon his props. Slept on guy in the league who just comes to work and puts in the time. If they did a redo, he's more of a late 1st rounder imo
Low-key, if BI and Ben were swapped, I think both are in better places. BI as the second star along side Embiid for years, and Simmons ultimately ending up in NOLA to blossom out of sight.
I love videos like this. I recently came across your channel and the effort and time you put into these videos shows you really love the sport and all of the in-depth information you give is great. Keep up the good work.
Malik Beasley should have never been arrested, if someone comes on your property without permission this is trespassing and a threat to someone is the best thing he can do. He didn’t kill them did he? Can someone tell me what law imprisoned him?
One thing you mightve missed, is that when Carris Levert was traded from the Nets to the Pacers, if Im not mistaken, they found a tumor or something? I dont remember all to well😅
Whats up with Duke and North Carolina players busting in the league? Well Duke has sent some good players lately but before that, despite them being powerhouse schools, alot of there players dont have success. The last star that came out of UNC was Vince Carter.
I need more objectivity in these videos, numbers, analytics; not touching on things other ppl have said. They just don’t feel like your genuine feelings. I do appreciate your determination to get these out.
Kris Dunn when given the ball and minutes in Chicago did his thing During the 2017/ 2018 even tho he lacked a Consistent jump shot., Him and Niko built a Nice chemistry the bulls went on a nice 7 game winning streak that season and he hit some game winning shots even the tho roster was YOUNG poorly constructed and the Coach was trash. The dunk where he fell on his face & Zach Lavine coming back off the injury took the ball out of Dunns hands that made him null and void along with having a trash head coach In Fred Hoiberg and then they hired an even worse coach in Jim Boylen and as you stated the drafting of Coby White it was a wrap.
I've been saying jaylen brown was the best player in that draft since 2018. The evidence over the last 5 years is so insurmountable that people can't deny it anymore.
Pascal Siakam’s development really is a 1 of 1. Not a single person saw him turning into an All-NBA caliber player. His scoring has got so elite man it’s crazy
he’s got that rare work ethic and exceeded all expectations
Definitely not 1 of 1 since Giannis and Jokic were the same.

He could’ve made an excuse because lost confidence in himself and kept doubling down on the made up excuse
I think he is just a bad player
While I would not be surprised if he suffers from some sort of anxiety, I doubt it has something to do with where he was drafted but his own post-season play.

Jamal got the Ring with a key position of a team. If he got another ring this year = most successful draft this year.
Brown is an all star , all nba team , ECF and FINALS MVP.JB Definitely the best in his class.
