Author, Roselle Kline Chartock shares her journey of discovery in the new book "The Jewish World of Elvis Presley," which includes Elvis's own Jewish heritage. His mother Gladys, is from an uninterrupted line of Jewish women, with her original female ancestor coming to the South from Lithuania in the 1800's. He even placed a Jewish star on Glady's grave, which is now displayed at Graceland.
Roselle shares the story of spending childhood Shabbats at the home of their neighbors Rabbi Fructor and his family, the Lansky Brothers, who were Elvis' life long tailors, as well as a half of his "Memphis Mafia" inner circle being Jewish, including Larry Geller, who taught Elvis about Kabbalah and Gematria.

No , he was not , his jewish hairdresser got him interested in Judaism as well as other beliefs . But he was raised a christian. Gladys had a white bible in her purse at all times and Elvis had a bible on his desk still visible to this day. Go visit Graceland , nowhere is anything confirming this fallacious claim.

She is not saying he rejected Jesus Christ. She is saying his bloodline is Jewish from his mother's side. That is what the jews consider Jewish. It has to be the mother's side. If you have a Jewish father but not a Jewish mother, you are not considered Jewish. If you have a Jewish mother but not a Jewish father, you are considered Jewish. Not by religion, but by blood.

He was absolutely not Jewish. Martha Tackett’s mother, Elvis’ great-great grandmother, was almost certainly Celia Butler Tackett. No Jewish great-great grandmother, no Jewish Elvis. The evidence shows that Elvis was a devoted Christian, however he was obviously respectful of other religions. Presley was not Jewish . Also Judaism is a religion , not a race or an ethnicity . Anyone can convert to Judaism and Jews can convert to other religions. So the Jewish blood BS is just that . BS.
