Welcome to my “Sunday Night Stay-at-Homebodies Open Mike Set #119.
I post youtube video sets (usually three songs) on Sunday nights around 8pm PT USA and share them to my facebook timeline as well. With these posts comes a standing invitation to singer-songwriters and spoken word artists to share a recent video of some of your own stuff (covers are fine too) in the comments below my posts, as well as a promise that if you post your stuff on the same night I post mine, I will do my best to watch and comment. My Sunday nights are reserved for listening to music, preferably of the homespun variety.

"I Don't Ask Her Why” is from my album "The Time Of Wonder", "Caring For You" is not recorded yet but will likely be on my 2024 album project, "Just Like That (We're Back To This)" is from my album "Almost Ready", "Shake It From The Inside Out" is from my album "From The Temple To The Street", and like all of my other songs, they are or will be available for downloading free or with a donation at www.GeneBurnett.com They are also available at all the usual e-retailers of music, where they might be faster and easier to find...but each one will cost you a buck.

“I Don't Ask Her Why”: the melody is uplifting and the lyrics are beautiful. Love the 3 descending chords which raise the song triumphantly.
"Caring For You": very introspective, Paul Simon-like song - sophisticated and moving.
"Just Like That (We're Back To This)", has your trademark instant hook and singalong quality. I bet it is a live performance favourite!
“Shake It From The Inside Out”: what a fun song! Catchy and thoroughly enjoyable! Great performance too!
