This is a wonderful demonstration show of handmade candy from the candy shop "PAPABUBBLE" on the basement floor of the main building of Daimaru Shinsaibashi store.
This work is a candy with a grapefruit pattern.
The combination of craftsmen is always amazing!
The taste is also grapefruit!

why do they poke with the scissors with the last 2 layers.... i demand for answers please
If air is trapped in the roll it can and will cause the candy to separate. By poking holes in the roll, they allow an exit for any air. When the second layer of candy is wrapped around the roll, any air trapped needs to be released, hence the second round of poking.

これは社長さんがどっかの旅行で買ってきたお土産だそうです笑(売り子のお姉さんに聞きました)
なので、飴細工ではなくてただの木彫りのお人形ですね。

Wish someone would tell me how to order some of their candies online
Right??! I googled Papabubble candy and all I got was a site all in Spanish and I couldn't find a way to change to English. But this company is in Japan....so who knows? I wanted to buy some for Christmas gifts.

Cool videos, 90% too long.
If you find these videos too long you can always turn up the playback speed, that way you can see the whole process in half the time. Personally, I find these long videos relaxing.
