Hello, thank you very much for the feedback. We really appreciate it. Yes, we have a lot of installations where the ICT WX system is controlling a gate operator. Typically, all we need is to use the lock output of the reader module to send a dry contact to the gate operator. The gate operator can be set to open on the contact activation or to follow the status of the contact. From the ICT Protege mobile app, you can control the door associated with the gate easily. In other words, you can connect the two systems so you can unlock the gate with an ICT TSEC card reader as well as with the mobile app.
Hi! Have a question about reader, i have this one PRX-TSEC-MINI-DF-B; it works properly, but after some time it goes to the boot mode (flashing blue and green) and couldnt open door. After rebooting start working again, but after some time same problem. May be you know why is it happenned?
Hello! When the reader is flashing this way it’s typically because it is wired in RS485 mode and is offline. Here’s a few things to try: 1. Make sure you are using twisted pair cable for the data lines. (Cat 5/6 if cable length is less than 100 meters or the recommended Belden 9842.) 2. It is recommended to install a EOL resistor at both ends. (330ohm) 3. We have seen card readers go offline randomly when installed on PRT-RDM2-DIN-485 and firmware build 599 may help in this case. (Please contact your local technical support to get access to the firmware file of this build.)
