Yes you can use this IC but care should be taken that primary of SMPS has auxiliary winding. AM22A IC has no external power supply requirement so connect the power supply only after seeing if the required output is coming out properly. 
Sir, mera ek 12 volt 1 Amp ka power supply thundering ke kaaran kharab ho gaya... Maine input ke saare kharaab diodes, fuse ko change kr diya, fir v output nhi aa rha... Isme OB2539AP IC lgi hai.. Multimeter se check krne par iske drain aur current sense pins mein continuity bta rha... Kya IC kharab hai? Iss IC ka substitute IC bata de? Plz reply 🙏

IC ke Current sense pin aur drain pin ke across multimeter lagane par 15 Ohms ka resistance show kar rha, reverse bias mein v same value aa rha... Kya IC kharab hai? Power dene par current sense resistor v burn ho gaye jo ground se connect the aur smd mein the, jiska no. v pta nhi chal pa rha, plz yeh v bta de kis value ka resistor lagaye? Plz. help me🙏

Continuity agar 400 ohms ke nicha aia to ic karab hai.revers polarite me continuity test Kara .filtar condentior me 300 volt dc test kare.
