5:40 the ball was bounce and on its way up and your swing trajectory lifted so the ball goes....up and out. That video you did when you talked about consistency and this idea is sick. Prepping for summer camp on Monday and this page has been a blessing. Where are you based?
@@ironwilltennis Since watching that video, I haven't seen even once a player hitting the ball long when it is falling down to their contact point On the contrary, I do see quite often a player miss in the net when the ball is rising to their contact point. I assume this because typically a ball rising to the contact point is coming quicker and deeper and a player gets tight. Im curious if you have any solution to that!
Question for ya will! I've been developing a one-handed backhand for a few years and now it's to the point where its semi-reliable (and finally mechanically sound). Ive heard about the advantages of two-hands...do you think its worth changing? Originally i picked one hand cause of Fed 😅
Thank you Will for these videos. I would like to know what kind of "balancing" exercises you do to help you to strengthen also left part of body (since you play 1-handed backhand), thank you:)
The depth of the 1hbh is awesome, great set.. you got some freebies when you went top spin then slice to the bh.. I don't know if it was change of pace and having to hit up that caused it but it happened at least a couple of times.. that slice mixed in with having also that deep 1hbh I think is a pretty decent combo to most peoples bh but he didn't go line he kept the cross court pattern and over cooked a couple but it was by a lot.
It was interesting that your running backhand seemed more consistent than your running forehand. Do you have a sense of what was happening when you were hitting those forehands on the run? (I could imagine that "I didn't want to sprint into a wall" was part of it?)
The running forehand is actually 1 of my strengths. I have been working on playing a more neutral version vs my normal aggressive option so my timing is a little off currently 😅

Will, love the channel. You are a very talented athlete and tennis player. If you would like any info for camera setups to help clean up technical issues i would be happy to chat.

Such a sweet one handed backhand. Really want to get mine there someday.
Appreciate the compliment hopefully it holds up as the matches get tougher💪
Yes, Will. Thanks for this series. You're right that it's helpful to folks like myself.
Happy to able to help you out
Lovely backhand. Never seen you play. He did well returning your wicked first serve!
WTF i love your 1HBH, it's perfect for a rally shot. Not too low, not too short, deep enough.
@alfandosavant4639 greatly appreciated 🙏 took a little while to dail it in

Nice, clean tennis despite a few ups and downs, best on your journey to 11!
Thank you, hopefully I get there with time to spare! 😁😁

Next video I'll be covering some of that 😁👍

The variety is definitely a big focus this month on my left side. Trying to not break down but also find ways to keep the pressure on my opponents

Wish to get my 1H here one day!
Easy work💪 you'll get it there
7:20 is about the slowest serve you hit when I have my lessons with you
That's my warm up baby 😁
Backhand looks smooth! Can definitely tell you’ve worked on it. More depth and pace on it than before. Loving this series!
Appreciate the kind words, glad it shows that it's paying off
