      Amanda De Silva It is no different to American girls. My mother's family is French. American women do so much hair maintenance I think that they are ahead of the game.

      lol I know I was expecting some new technique lol.....my husband can not understand why I stay in the shower so long when I wash my hair and it's bc I make sure I do a full deep scalp massage with shampoo and conditioner. I only use Aveda color and products tbough. Aveda has totally transformed my hair. My profile picture is before I started going to an Aveda Salon. My hair was just blah.....brassy blonde and so dry. I need to post a new picture....6 months difference which would be present day. The change is incredibly ladies. I use the Damage Remedy line and when I wash and condition I add a small amount of the Blue Mauva Shampoo to the Damage Remedy shampoo and then a small amount of the Blue Mauve conditioner to the Damage Remedy conditioner. The blue malva shampoo pulls out any brassiness and the conditioner adds shine and really enhances my blonde hair. I can go 12 weeks in between highlights bc of this shampoo. In fact I have an appt. on the 28th and I had a friend today at church say.....Wow your hair looks great....you must have just gotten it done. I said actually no.....it's been 12 weeks lol she asked me to write down the products and she text me a bit ago to tell me she went out and bought everything I wrote down lol and how mad her husband was for her spending all that money. It is a pricy line however I've had a small bottle of the Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner last me 4 months and the liter of the Blue Malva last 6 months. So if you add up what you usually spend on products for a 4 to 6 month span you will see that it's a good purchase. Unless you use drug store shampoo and conditioner. sorry for the long post but I wanted to share in hopes someone reading will take my advice and their hair will be transformed like mine has been. I recommend using Aveda color bc it's essential damage free much less then other color products I assure you so I'm sure that's had an impact on my hair along with the Damage Remedy Line. When your hair is dry and damaged you need protein to repair and the Aveda products have that.

    You should re-title this as "How to wash your hair with French products." I'm French and I wash my hair just like every one else in France and most countries in the world: Shampoo and Hair conditioner.

    There's no such thing as doing something in a French way

    we wash our hair like everybody else .

      @Carina518 7 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      iarina ioana It is annoying and I know not all europeans have thick heavy accents. I don't even think the aesthetic is really ground breaking or impressive to look at. Wearing natural looking makeup and hair and trying to be cool by acting like you don't care, even though you care a lot isn't something worth obsessing over for years.

    • @iarinaioana
      @iarinaioana 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Andreea C actually i do have some french friends with good english accents but thats not the point
      the point is that into the gloss keeps filming the same type of people because it seems to have this funny infatuation with french ppl who have strong accents. to the point where they all sound the same.

    The whole rinse-cold-to-seal-the-hair thing has never made sense to me if you turn around and use a blow dryer on it.

    • @beckya640
      @beckya640 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      M A Walker it makes sense if you aim the dryer down the hair shaft and use ionic tools, since both keep the cuticle closed.

    • @sweetpie7919
      @sweetpie7919 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I remember reading that a cold rinse would close the hair cuticle adding shine and reducing frizz. From someone who doesn't use a hair dryer, I do it in the summer. I'm not standing a cold water blast in the winter, nope.

    I just came across this video and I had no idea that this man created my most favorite hair products! I use his products and I can honestly say my hair doesn't look all that different at a first glance... HOWEVER. That's because before I used his products, I heat styled. But now I can honestly air dry and my hair is amazing.
    I think the model had the same experience. I saw people commenting about how it looked better before or that it looked the same, but I'M TELLING YOU. After using his products the correct way... it's like... life-changing how soft your hair is.
    After consistent use of his Cleansing Mask with Lemon, Sea Salt, and Prickly Pear and the oil with Lavender and the Sandalwood finishing cream, my hair texture is SO SMOOTH. Like, I didn't know hair could feel like this. My hair feels luxurious and smooth and there is a perfect balance of hydration, sleekness, and texture. The biggest difference is in how my hair feels, which in turn, means I feel quite differently about my hair. It somehow exudes this silky, sexy shine that wasn't there before.
    For reference, I am a level 6N with lightened ends and I have 2A/2B waves. I lighten my hair once every year or so.
    If you learn about the science behind his products, you can tell he just knows so much! They're meant to make your hair the best it can possibly be. I love them and will never stop using them!

      I see, thanks for the info. I used to do this until recently when I went to a salon and the person that washed my hair applied it to the roots as well.

    The way to dry the hair ( with towel) he shows here is being followed since ages in India. I have seen my mom, grandmom do this.

    Why brush her hair three times...?
    Before wash, right after (wet hair) and after drying it
    Can’t you just brush it once after drying it...?

    Lol, 5 minutes of a dude washing a girl's hair and the result is that she looks exactly the same as before. 😂 I guess you can sell anything, as long as you add 'like a French girl' after it lol.

    I love French aesthetics but it's never struck me that the women have particularly spectacular hair or anything. They mostly look unbrushed and messy, like second day hair. It's their look.
    Now Asian and Southeast Asian women, have LUSCIOUS hair. that's just genetics

    In theory it’s better take the shampoo you have on top when wash and bring the end of hair that way your hair don’t will be too dry ... and make that say in French way it’s ridiculous... in brazil we do the same way beside the part of dry hair ..

    How one shampooing can be enough? Everyone i know is shampooing twice

    • @katr_i_na
      @katr_i_na 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never needed to shampoo more than once, and I only wash my hair once a week. If you need to shampoo more than once, something's not right lmao. Your hair isn't THAT dirty. Unless you've been rolling around in mud, maybe.

    • @Anny-sq6re
      @Anny-sq6re 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am happy that you need just one per week to wash your hair :) and just one shampooing per wash :) If i shampoo once, i can feel that my hair is still dirty, and from the first shampoo, it doesnt make enough foam and bubbles, it happens well just on the second time. My hair is straight, so yes, it can be pretty dirty after 3 days. Have a nice day

      She wasn't even French, which is the funniest part. She sounds like a native english speaker, maybe even from the US. (I'm American and didn't really hear a foreign accent.)
