My decision to avoid flying on SAA several years ago after noticing dodgy rivets & stains through a window seat over the wing now absolutely vindicated. They may as well start fitting roof racks to those crates if they still dream of a market revival 😏
The dark stains on the wings of commercial aircraft are a combination of oils and greases from the slat and flap mechanisms which is normal on all aircraft no matter who the carrier. As you can imagine whilst in flight the friction from the air forces these oils to trickle backwards over the wings. Planes are washed once every 2 months or about 50 days thats the industry average and will get filthy over time unfortunately.
I've tried to find out as much as possible about this incident it is disturbingly being kept quiet, read quite a bit now the best one is Avherald. The landing at Brussels of this flight is actually on youtube. Pravin Gordhan last year said the New SAA and BEE is not negotiable. I believe that this was an experiment in which exceptions were made bypassing standards seeing it was not a commercial people carrier flight if you like. Political correctness will lead to Air Crash investigation episodes having their hands full.
I'm definitely NOT going to recommend SAA to any of my clients, nor will I fly with them. Gordhan, you've screwed up once again, taking money from more important causes because of your insistence that ZA needs SAA. Shame on you- 2 years time there'll have to be another bailout...
I don't get it, a 90 ton miscalculation with no cargo picked up yet and then these conflicting reports. So what actually saved the day 1. System or 2. Pilots 1. DA's report Airbus’ own protective systems overrides the pilots to stop the plane from stalling. 2. News outlet but was averted by appropriate corrective action by the crew.
Government will only act when there' is death ,send condolences and that's it ,just like the rest of problems in South Africa, they hear about problems before it happens but do nothing
Aircraft computer overides stall ! Oh dear - The four aircrew involved, which were led by the current acting chief pilot of SAA, were drawn from members of the pilot pool who are not members of the South African Airways Pilot's Association. No need to explain what is happening here - counting skills, nil, flying skills - even less ! Saa 2.0 - to be avoided at all costs !
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention @Newsroom Afrika

Is this a preview of things to come?

Sounds like a bunch of taxi drivers were at the controls !
Ah! BBBEE in action... This is why I have not flown SAA for years and I will NEVER fly SAA again...
Yip, more black excellence
Don’t call it SAA rather call it BBB EE Airways
Ha, ha!

How to contribute to killing an airline. Nice job. Now don't complain because SAA is failing.
no flying for me in SAA.

There was no ‘corrective action’ by crew. They were lost. System override had to correct problem. This is what happens when you have BEE pilots
It's quite simple Lionel - Newtons laws of aviation and Mathematics are quite simply racist !
After all those bail OUTS??
Pilot names immediately please
What sort of stupid are you to put demands on youtube ????
Philemon, Platneus & Icarus !
@@MartyP-lr7vw Sounds like the three stooges. I’m amazed they even knew where the cockpit was
@@Neo_Rain146 Just imagine the confused state they were in when confronted by all the sophisticated levers and pulleys plus Newton's laws of motions !

Lack of proper qualified pilots.

I Will never fly BEE Airways.

Only the creme della creme of the BEE pool of excellence
@@Neo_Rain146 Saa will now be known as S-hole Airlines Africa !
