I don't think I've ever related to any conversation you've had on this show more than the DVD menu talk. That Sin City menu is fucking burnt in my mind.
My dvd menu memory/nightmare was jay and silent bob strike back. Every so often during my dream jay would pop in with a “snooch to the nooch” or “jay and silent bob are in the hizzouse!” Good times
This is a great (if a bit short) game with a really cool story that essentially acts as Ghostbusters 3, featuring the majority of the principal actors from the original films voicing themselves. (Including Janine and Walter Peck!) I'm mostly familiar with the HD version (as well as the Remastered rerelease that's currently available on Switch, Playstation, and such), so seeing footage of the Wii version was pretty interesting. The co-op's a great addition and the way they broke up the much larger, longer stages into individual levels definitely gives it more of a pick-up-and-play feel. The discussion about DVD menu loops was great. MY most memorable experience with them actually didn't happen that long ago (probably mid-to-late 2010s), and it wasn't with a movie, but rather my Space Ghost Coast to Coast DVD Volumes. I constantly left those things playing while I snoozed, meaning that I woke up quite a number of times to either one menu singing, "LIVING THE HIGH LIFE! SPACE GHOST!!!" out loud at me or another playing random acoustic guitar music. Streaming services and Blu-rays with minimalistic menus can't give you THAT kind of bizarre experience. 😂 I also agree with Nick in preferring Ghostbusters 2. I mostly liked how Vigo was something new, bizarre, and different for them to contend with rather than just a retread of the first movie. Between this game and Afterlife, I'm kinda getting sick of the Gozer stuff.
When I was sharing a room with my brother he once went to sleep with Zoolander on I remember waking up early but feeling to lazy to turn it off since I was on the top bunk, I tried to go back to sleep but it eventually started driving me insane and I had to turn it off. I never did get back to sleep.
I remember when I was younger, my brother had the 360 version of this game and I tried it out, and thought it was really cool and loved the mechanics. Then I was given the Wii version as a present later on, and was surprised how different it was. Both got their own merits, and it's pretty cool how unique they are from each other. I think I still like the other version more, since it felt more immersive with the world of the Ghostbusters and the way it controlled.
@@spyder256it's the same game, just adapted by a different studio for the Wii and PS2. This version actually has slightly more content than the PC/360/PS3 version!
