I agree with a lot of your points, however there are some points that you didn’t address or were a little inaccurate. First of all, yes whilst most malware does not need kernel level access, that was not the concern to begin with. The real concern was the fact that if someone were to (once again) breach through Riot’s defenses and nab all of the data then they would have access to every single pc(‘s data) at the kernel level. It wouldn’t be that they would need to get kernel level in order to hack, but rather that a hack would instantly provide them with kernel level access to everyone with Vanguard installed. Another point is that the Vanguard anti cheat was written for Windows’ proprietary kernel. This would mean that any computer running anything but Windows would not be able to play. Things like Wine or even direct virtual machines wouldn’t work either. While the majority might play on Windows, I think that it’s a bad thing to exclude a sizable number of players from playing unless they spend $100 on a shitty OS.
@@vonspeedwagon1466 I understand people worry that if a breach happens again it will cost heavily for millions of user and the company consodering the risk factor of riot having such a tool that needs kernel-level access but idk man, stuff like this happens every year in all industeries and all an average user can do is just hope and trust that company, kinda like you know when you fly a plane its mostly safe(unlike what most people think that planes are more dangerous than cars) but still something can go wrong and than its gonna be a disaster.
But have Riot fixed the previous breach and increase their security from that point on
@@vonspeedwagon1466 I understand people worry that if a breach happens again it will cost heavily for millions of user and the company consodering the risk factor of riot having such a tool that needs kernel-level access but idk man, stuff like this happens every year in all industeries and all an average user can do is just hope and trust that company, kinda like you know when you fly a plane its mostly safe(unlike what most people think that planes are more dangerous than cars) but still something can go wrong and than its gonna be a disaster.
I myself would love to have both LoL and valorant on my linux but sadly i dont have much time to spent on setting that up and I just hope we get linux support one day from riot(pls rito you guys support goddamn mac)and I also hope we can get more games and support for linux and maybe Mac (since i love Apple sooooo much).
Like I said before I understand some people concerns but the sad reality is that we can not do much but to trust and also hope that someone finds a better solution cause currently I think this is the only best solution.
@@ryugaroxas they definitely did. the last breach was thankfully not from a bug in their infrastructure architecture. it was a social engineering attack, which must be taken seriously cause they can act even as terrifying as 0 days if the company does not take it serious, and it is not like riot doesnt take it serious but its like the ones doing it are professionals(search for them in youtube their techniques will sometimes blow your mind). I think they instantly sat a team up for training other employees to harden their communication protocols after that breach so stuff like this wont happen again.
@@KiarashSalooti Damn , So cool , I have been really into rank lately , and scripter is everywhere with smurf and trolls . Hope I can hardware ban some griefer someday with this new tech

I absolutely love how a small minority of desperate nerds is pretending they will quit league over privacy concerns while they scroll tik-tok and post on Twitter.
The average intelligence of league players only goes down.
well twitter or tiktok can't access my pw on any page i ever typed it in at will lel
@@Bankai90 looks like you were too stupid or lazy to read tik toks terms of service. You agreed to give them access to all of the information on your phone before and after Tik Tok was installed.
Start with a Dr. Seuss book and work your way up little guy.
Talking about average intelligence when you can't even comprehend the stuff people are complaining about is top tier hypocrisy. In case you didn't notice, the concerns are not over privacy, but over the fact that Vanguard has 24/7 access to absolutely everything on your device. It basically has access to more stuff on your machine than you do. If someone hacks Riot Games AGAIN (which they will, cuz Riot's cybersecurity is dogshit), then they will have access to absolutely every single PC that has LoL installed. Good fucking luck.
@@glodeanuandrei400 I've had vanguard installed on my PC for almost four years and my information was never leaked by riot. My information HAS been leaked by: apple, yahoo, Google, Microsoft, and the company that changes the oil in my truck.
You people live in a fucking fantasy land where you don't acknowledge reality and just imagine pretend scenarios all day. Grow the fuck up.
funny you say this when vanguard is a legitimate security liability for all players after riot games' security was already breached before (which they admit in the video). they don't acknowledge the concern of a hacker doing the same again, now with kernel access to even more computers via vanguard. that's totally not a concern lmfao. note how they only address "we don't do anything with your computer," but not what might occur if the company itself experiences a breach from bad actor/s again.
i refused to install valorant because of vanguard, and i downloaded tiktok only on burner phone i keep shut down.
Got perma banned by this new anti cheat system although I never even tried to cheat
Anybody know what I can do beside texting riot support?
it's not even implemented yet and your weak ass cheats got detected already 💀
it hasn't even been implemented yet, cheater

lmao caedrel is so clueless about how tracking/tech works apparently. he's great but it's always fun listening how lost lol pros/streamers are when talking about anything except the game.
Better anti-cheat: when someone is cheating, kick him and repleace with bot just don't end the game
No it wouldn't
The team with the bot would lose

Faker Hall of Legends Ahri Skin confirmed
"TBD?? What does that stand for??"
Caedrel... come on man.
"we can't wait to see the increased competition at MSI this year" is 🤡 the winner still lck and lpl.
Then other regions need to get better then.
And she's not wrong, the LCK and the LPL produce enough competition.
Nah man, MSI is basically LPL's tournament at this point. LCK just gets nerfed whenever they enter that event.
Blame other regions for being dogshit at playing game , they get paid to perform like bronze on stage
blame the player, not the game
Meanwhile, at worlds, LPL teams are praying they don't get T1.
I will belive change when I ll see it.

Hmmmm...the skins in this game is starting to make the game look more like a Chinese game. Starting to lose the original feel of the game...
P.S. Not talking about the concept of the design
L take, the games always been heavily inspired by eastern cultures
True
@@ericcb1 Don't get me wrong, I love the skins, I don't hate the game. Maybe I did not clarify myself, I am not judging the concept of the skin, more so the choice of colours and the intensity of it.
If you have played most chinese games, the graphics and colours are really those that are in your face, bright and flashy. League skins in the past weren't all of that, as far as I can remember.
Ofcourse, Im not saying that they should go back to how they used to design in the past, neither am I saying that the designs are bad. I am just pointing out how much some of the skins that have been released, and those upcoming ones, are starting to resemble those in most chinese games.
@@ANon-Eemusmakes sense.. majority of their player base/income is China so it's no surprise the stylistic direction it leans towards.
It's not even only China, bro
It's asian culture as a whole

Lots of people are going to quit league because of this anti-cheat system being so invasive.
yeah they're called the people cheating
@@cable2590
Brainrot L take
@@cable2590 I use linux for a few reasons but mostly for work; the best way to play league on linux is using a VM which I've been doing for about 10 years now. That is no longer an option JUST because of this shitty kernel level anti-cheat and their brainlet detections (which are trivial to hack through btw). I am now FORCED to either use WINE which is horribly optimised and never works or just buy a new PC just for league which is ridiculous. They just make life harder for everyone by forcing this BS on people while not punishing most cheaters AT ALL.
@@CedricBassman nah he is right. Everyone who stops playing because of an good Anti-Cheat software is good to be gone xD
@@thomasluginger4987
Nah, he ain't right. Everyone who stops playing because of Vanguard simply wishes to not have a root kit installed that runs all the time, prone to brick your PC for no reason, and collects Data non stop for Ritos Chinese Overlords.
