Auburn is a city in eastern Alabama. On the Auburn University campus, the sprawling Donald E. Davis Arboretum has a collection of native plants. The Jonathan Bell Lovelace Museum documents the university’s athletics history. The Jule Collins Smith Museum has art from the 18th-21st centuries. South of Auburn is Chewacla State Park with trails and a large lake. Southwest, Tuskegee National Forest is home to wild deer

Chewalcla State Park is a treasure in this area.. for those that love the outdoors and like being active.. hiking along the creek banks and exploring all the hiking trails is one of our favorite things to do here! There is also mountain bike trails for those that are into that! It’s so much more than hiking to the waterfall! I have lived in the area most of my life and my husband and I are so thankful for Chewalcla!
Totally an outdoor person, I’m just spoiled with visiting my son in Montana!

It’s not Joordan Hare stadium - it’s “Jerdon” Hare. Named after Shug Jordan. Pronounced as he pronounced his name. “Jerdon” if you are from Auburn… Jordan from Tuscaloosa or anywhere else
Just visiting for the day, is there anything here to do besides sports and drinking?
Tons. There's the classic stuff like bowling, laser tag, escape room. Bu there's a lot of history in Auburn too. So there's lots of tours that can be done on and around the campus. There's also very beautiful parks to go to. We also have Chewacala State Park, which is a great place to hike as well as watch the waterfall. We have the Julie Collins Smith Museum which shows a variety of performing arts. They do dance, singing, theatre, all kinds of different activities. Also the Gogue perfoming arts center. Lots of different golf courses. Lots of great places to eat, even if you aren't drinking. Places for massages and tanning. Lots of places to shop. Rock N' Roll pinball to see the best pinball place ever in Opelika. Axe throwing. Coffee shops. We have lots of different things to do!
