    AE511: Great lecture. It was very helpful to have the explanation of the inputs and outputs for the different functions in an easier to understand format than the Matlab help.

    AE511: This seems much easier than all the math we did last week to accomplish the same thing haha.

    Perfect! Can I modify the magnitude of the step input in linearSystemAnalyzer to be 1.5?

    AE511: I liked that we learned the functions in order of increasing complexity - do any of the three functions have the ability to automate the GUI interaction and output results? Or is some manual interaction within the GUI always required? I'm thinking of a scenario where you'd want to analyze a wide range of transfer functions with speed being of interest.

      My typical workflow is to use the GUI to do some preliminary testing but then rapidly move to script based programming as it offers more flexibility.

    How do you analyze experimental data? Let's say you have the reference signal and feedback signal in the time domain measured from an oscilloscope. How do you derive the transfer function from those measurements to feed it into the linearSystemAnalyzer? Or experimental data is dealt with in a completely different manner?

    I assume it's possible to code the metrics so they output as data rather than having to use the GUI to solve for them?

    AE511: Stupid question, but is u(t) a force or a displacement? It must be a force right?

    • @ChristopherLum
      @ChristopherLum  ปีที่แล้ว

      u(t) can actually be anything you want, it all depends on how you model the system. In some cases it is a force and others it can be a displacement (or anything else like an aileron deflection, etc.)
