It’s been years since I operated a digger and I loved it I wish I hadn’t gone into management because I miss it badly nice job there is something very relaxing about watching a digger
First for comments. U ate keeping very busy and that's great. Really make my day watching u. It's very nice when u have the free rain on the job. Nice to working with people like that.
Awesome! Thank you I appreciate the kind words! Yes it’s a great problem to have and I’m going to work as much as possible while it lasts! Appreciate you watching
Those slab footings were the most tedious part of the whole day! It is harder to dig a 6” flat bottomed hole than it is a foot deep. I see what you were telling me about those fittings. If they leak the problem is the installer. That is a heavy duty design. We got 1/10” of rain. Diamond had water running down the streets. Or, should I say street??? (They only have one or two that aren’t highways!) Nice job working around all those stub outs… it looked like a PacMan maze!
i am glad you showed us the CTS pipe, that is some pretty cool stuff! I can't get over how much thicker it looks than the standard stuff in a roll. It is costly but it looks like it should hold up really well! The rest of the job looks great and I am really glad to hear that the people you are working for are so cool, that is awesome! Thank you for sharing with us!
That is a complicated job. My wife had floor outlets put in our slab last house, I hated tripping over them all the time, but on the new one, I'm putting my foot down (so I don't trip over the floor outlets like I do if I scoot my feet!)😉
I thought about a couple of floor outlets in my shop. But, then I remembered that the FFA shop in my old high school had them. A kid dropped a piece of angle iron on one of them. It took out lighting in that end of the school building. We got out of class for the rest of the day while the Fire Department investigated. Since I am not going back to school I decided there was no need to build an electrocution hazard in my shop. Besides, I am retired and can get out of working about anytime I want! So… no outlets in the concrete floor!!
That would be a good situation to be in. Work any time you want it. All I can say is those are some very expensive fittings for that pipe. That is insane!
That's a pack joint fitting. Most people call them ford couplings because of the Ford Meter Company. I like to put a dab of silcone grease inside the nuts. Keeps the threads from galling.
Thanks for showing that CTS closer up. Very interesting and durable stuff for sure - but not cheap! I really like how that builder works with you and how clean and orderly he keeps his site. Clearly you're working with guys who have class and show mutual respect. Much better than Starbutts, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
It’s some neat but pricey pipe for sure. Yes this guy is great to work for and he is very strict on keeping a clean job site so we get along great 😁 oh yes it much better than Starbucks it’s been very enjoyable. Appreciate you watching
Tell me it's hot with out telling me it's hot 🥵🥵🥵 o !!! Like your farmer hat. Keeps the sun off your neck and it looks cool !!!! 👍 Nice job B . 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It’s pretty neat. No unfortunately I wasn’t there when they poured it. They didn’t get to pour it until the following and I was somewhere else but that would have made for some good footage
I started this job giving individual prices for different tasks but he likes my work and wants so much done I just bill him every two weeks for what I have done so far. It’s turning out to be a sweet deal
@@eliteearthworksllc nice! Figured that’s how you’d be doing it. One bid price would be really hard to figure out since you are working that job on and off on different projects. Nice work
Yes the first few things were redoing the drive in front of the building and the new culvert were pretty straightforward then it just escalated into everything 🤣

Yes those were a pain. Lol yeah it poured south of town yesterday but it barely got you guys. Thanks!

You’re welcome! It’s some neat stuff very durable but expensive. It’s been a great job I’m really enjoying it. Appreciate you watching and commenting
@@eliteearthworksllc really glad to hear that and your welcome!
The hydrant's need service eventually I would run a separate 3/4"valved line from the house to them, less money works for me
Yeah we put a shut before the hydrant so you could keep the water on to the house.

I was running out of room quick if they kept adding things in there 🤣 I could see where that could be annoying
Lookin Good Sir. Job Security is where its at . Lol ! Nice Job 👍🏻
Thank you! Yes it is 😁

It is nice! I’ll take it as long as I can. Yeah this stuff is crazy expensive
excellent job ethics, sometimes you have to fix others dirty work to make your look that much better!
Thanks man! That’s true 😁

Oh ok they are pretty neat and that’s a good idea on the threads. Appreciate you watching
We called it goose grease.
CTS stands for Copper Tubing Size if you weren’t aware. Great job!
I actually just learned that today 🤣 cause the water main I’m putting in now is 2” IPS which iron size pipe. Learning something everyday 😁

Musta been the EESP (Elite Earthworks Scenery Prediction)! You still got first!!!

Looks like you used the German torque specs again, "gooduntight".
I'm guessing that pipe is a little pricey too...
Tristar Diggin'
Sam
🤣🤣 that’s right! Yeah it’s $900 for a 200’ roll but it last forever they say 🤣
Some amazing waterline materials . Any chance of getting some video of the concrete pour?
It’s pretty neat. No unfortunately I wasn’t there when they poured it. They didn’t get to pour it until the following and I was somewhere else but that would have made for some good footage
Job security brother, that all that matters.
That’s right!
I’m really curious how much a job like this is total lol do you charge them each time your out or did you bid this as one whole project?
