Everyone needs to learn some form of wrestling. Get comfortable with people grabbing you, attempting to take you down or being on top of you. Learning how to control someone without striking them is also a skill you should develop.
As you should be, there are a lot of big guys out there that know how to fight or are just bonified animals, and that old saying " the bigger they are the harder they fall" goes out the window Never underestimate anyone , any size. Never mind the what ifs.. if confronted either run or go into it full bore like your life depends on it
With all respect, grappling with a bigger, stronger opponent is a losing proposition. You need to move _fast_ and hit _hard_ ... Two best options: knees, throat. Targets of opportunity. A third, if you can get above and behind, choke hold. All with the intent to disable or subdue. Of course, all of this - be it the options I presented or the techniques demonstrated in this video - depends on your skill and experience. If you don't have it, get it. Pick a fighting style or martial art that appeals to you (mine was Togakure ryu Ninjutsu) and train up. If you _haven't_ had any training, the best way to overcome a bigger, stronger adversary is to *run faster* 😛
In your case surely the easiest thing to do is angle the top of your head towards the sun, the reflection can then blind the attacker. I'm a fellow baldy so I can make jokes like that... 😁
I'm very grateful for this video. The way you go for the peel makes sense, and could be very useful if the way I usually do fails. Combined with base and wrist releases, this is a powerful contribution to defending oneself.
Unfortunately, in 99% of street fight attacks, you will NEVER get that close to your attacker. Most street attacks are done with punches and a tiny bit of shoving. Also, the person who attacks you will NOT be your size as Mark and his student are here. They will most likely be much BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER, HEAVIER and YOUNGER (if you're say, over 50, or OLDER if you're say, 13, they'll be 19 or 20 and more developed. All Mark's teaching here is okay, but 99% of all street fights start at the STRIKING RANGE and then IF something goes wrong, then and only then do they devolve into the Grappling range. You're best of practicing your Striking (punches and kicks) skills, before you do grappling. Because you want to end this fight FAST and hopefully never go to the ground. Also, if you grapple, you will NOT see the attackers buddies come up and hit you from behind.
Take some Judo classes. It’s really good against larger, stronger and heavier people. It’s also wonderful for staying on your feet while putting them on the ground.

What would you do? i know the smartest thing is walking away but im fed up of getting laughed at by strangers just because im for a different dressing style. I'll be reading you!
Walking away really is the best option. As long as nobody is threatening you physically there is no need to risk a violent altercation. Regarding what others might think of you: Sometimes a little bit of vanity might help keeping ones nerves together. The people mocking your style obviously do not have any kind of own taste in clothing so they resort to making fun of anything different to their brainless choice of peer pressure. They do not know anything about individual style. Consider them beneath you and not worthy of any time or attention.
