NYK adds size and skill. MN adds depth and grit. Reasonably equitable swap for upcoming season. This trade looks great for MN in 2026 and 2027 when a then 31 year old KAT is due $57M and $60M. Both teams still win now but MN extended its window which is perfect for a 22 year old Anthony Edwards.
31 is not old, esp for a center that can shoot. But point taken for Ant since he's clearly the man on the Wolves now. It gives them more flexibility and since they sent a laughable amount of draft picks for Gobert, they'll need to build with available $

Kid is a young, talented/dynamic combo guard still on his rookie deal, who yeah, is still unproven & need’(s) playing time which he probably wouldn’t have gotten much of last season but now is someone the Knicks could really use.
Fair points, but Kat shoots out to 35 feet with a high percentage. Unlike Julius, Kats jumper is actually respected by teams. The knicks literally have the worst floor spacing in the NBA that will improve dramatically with Kats shooting. Jalen is going to have a field day in the paint.
Dude if you’re trying to justify Randle being better…..his IQ is so bad. He gets lost on defense. He reacts so slow to plays happening. On offense, he needs the ball to iso play. He pounds the air out of the ball and gives it up once he can’t make a play, thus getting assists that way. Not because he’s unselfish, but because he had nothing else. You’ll see. Glad he’s no longer a KNICK
Knicks lost two tough players Donte and Hartenstein. They will be missed. Need to find some toughness from G league or Europe . Is KAT tough? Probably not. But very skilled. Matchup problem
Randle is by far a better player at $28 mill compare to Kat at $49 mill…period!! Randle + Ragu is better than Kat. We gave up 2 dogs for a finesse Kat!!
