The budget cuts that launched Season 1 into space was for the Announcer's personal Earth-attractor thing, the other characters were just launched into space to follow him.

1: No, because ice melts before gelatin does. So it wouldn't exactly work...
2: Maybe, but there would be a point where it would get too hot that gelatin wouldn't be fast enough and he'd melt.

Firey and Firey Jr would realistically get out at around 3500 Celsius (6332 Fahrenheit) as the temperature qould be high emough that Firey/Firey Jr wouldnt be able to burn hotter than it

Fire proof simply means it can't catch on fire Does not mean it can't get affected by heat in general. Heat resistant means it is immune to heat and the affects it has I don't know what other things you feel when being on fire other than heat.
