What a great little getaway! I could not help myself last week and started buying some new fall decor in anticipation of my 1st real fall ever! Moving out of FL into a state that has seasons has me so excited to experience the change and I feel like I am counting down the days.

Also, I just learned this year more about Early Harvest festivals in Ireland, China, Japan, etc. They all start celebrating Autumn's approach at the start of August. So, I think it's very natural. Last year, I only decorated with Autumn decor, putting it out at the beginning of August. By November I was tired of it but my husband made me keep it up till after Thanksgiving. 😫😫😫 This year, I've decided to change things up so I don't get tired of it after 3 months. 🤣 I'm putting the rest of the Autumn decor up this week/weekend, and around the beginning to middle of Sept, I'll be decorating with a ton of spooky decor. After Halloween, I'll take all of that down, and then have another few weeks of just Autumn decor and it'll be nice.
I'm a summer girl and after our long, dark and cold winters, I get just as excited about spring as you about autumn. Romanticising autumn has helped me overcome the sadness I feel at the end of summer. And that's actually how I found your channel. I really enjoy these vloggy types of videos btw. 💜

Grandbury TX is such a quaint place to stay and visit. Taking some time away is a wonderful way to be on a mental and physical vacation, at the end of the hot summer in the city.
