Hi, My name is Bob and I am 81 years. When I was 8 years old I changed the sprocket on my coaster brake and I have been building and riding vintage bikes ever since. About 15 years ago I found a rusty Mifa with a like like new Renak and beautiful chrome. I restored it and it is a wonderful riding bike. Many friends think it is my most interesting bike. Yet. I couldn't find information about it. I knew the bike was from East Germany and that's all. I love the crank and I had to modify a gear puller to repack the bearings. So, it's no wonder I love your videos. I also collect coaster brakes. I often find them missing parts and I restore them. I have a super Granat and I didn't know where it was from. I Know my Favorit and Velosteel were from Czechoslovakia but that's all. I loved your history of torpedo and clones. I have never seen a vintage Torpedo coaster brake here in Arizona only clones. In my youth I only saw English Perries and Resilions. Later a lot of Schwinn approved clones made in Germany. There were other clones unbranded or like the Excel Mark IV from who knows where. I also have a like new Durex bicycle coaster brake that I know nothing about. I love the German engineering. I love the way the three speed torpedo shifts. So, I didn't know about the two speed torpedo until I saw your video. I ordered one and it will be my next bicycle build. Thank you
Cheers, from a fellow bicycle lover,
    Bob.

Good morning Bob, thank you for your little hub-story from Arizona. I like it to read what is your experience with the coaster brake. The Durex is very near by the Torpedo inside, but the parts are not replaceable. One day I want bring a video about it. I think I have so much differnt hubs, I can bring videos for the next 5 years. The next video is about the Universal 3 speed with a drumbrake. This kind of hub was build arround 1940, and the most of this hubs was sold to Netherlands an Belgium. In Germany it was not easy to find one. A friend from Hungary has bought one in Netherlands fro me and if I visited him in his town Szeged, it was a present for me. If I was a boy, I never thought about, to find contact worldwide, with the hubs. I like it. Regards Jens

People seem to like the Bendix 70. I have found it to be cheaply machined. Lathe turning marks on the races. Not remotely as good as Torpedos or any clones!

I think, people like what is available. Bendix 70, search in my browser , it shows much to me, but the last 40 years I have never hold a hub like this in my hands, and I have had thousands.

@@don-torpedo yes sir, I am riding a Bendix 70 currently. Built this one because it was what I had. I confess the good chrome and pretty machining of the Torpedos and some clones impresses me.
But yes. The Bendix 70 works well, and many were made. I have not seen the range you have. I am " coming home" to the coaster brake!

Awesome! I hope you cover the Austrian Torpedo clone Styria. I have one, machined like a rolex.

Yes, I will report on Styria at some point. My channel is just starting out, I have material for 10 years and more. My next Video is about the german coaster brake from Dürkopp 1940. Regards Jens

@@don-torpedo that is exciting! Thanks ! My Styria came on an Austrian-made Sears in the 60s. It is so silky smooth, the bearing races must be like glass. low- miles. Be running her in soon.
