  • Reverse in straight line
    -
    Position the vehicle at the starting point.
    Select neutral. (or "P" for automatic transmission)
    Select reverse gear.
    Obtain clutch control.
    Observe.
    Release park brake.
    Move off.
    Keep vehicle in straight line as indicated, without touching the side boundary lines.
    Stop where indicated.
    Apply parking brake.
    Select neutral, (or "P" for automatic transmission)
    Release clutch pedal if manual transmission.
    Note A:
    Only one attempt will be allowed.
    Note B:
    Should the vehicle roll, a circle shall be drawn around the black block "Roll" and the test shall be
    discontinued.
    Note C:
    Should the vehicle stop for any reason after having moved off before the maneuver is completed a circle shall be drawn around a black block "No.att". and the test discontinued.

    Stop with the rear of the vehicle within the 5 m stopping zone or beyond.
    Note E:
    Should the incorrect gear be selected when moving off from the starting point, this shall not be regarded
    as an attempt.
    Note F:
    Should the vehicle coast during this maneuver, it shall be regarded as an "Uncontrolled action" and a circle shall be drawn around a black block and the test discontinued.
    STRAIGHT REVERSE :
    when you have passed the practical driving test, there will likely be many occasions that you will need to reverse your car. Straight reverse is essentially reversing in a straight line and then simply stopping.
