Wiley ol buddy, i would be surprised if this ain't a 220 cummins. Being older than you, and spendin 49 years in truckin, i think it is a good guess. Sure admire hangin out with ya, buddy! Thanks again!!!!!
Wiley, this is kind of a part 2 because that truck brought back a lot of memories. Cummins switched to Big Cam engines in 1976, knowing this it can help you rough date a truck. I worked for Scott Paper in Washington State, and when they closed the logging division in 84. They sent a team up here from the south that we called the Alabama gang and any of the newer equipment they wanted got set aside and we ran it through the shop, cleaned it up, inspected it and hauled it to the rail yard, and loaded it. We had some nice Prentice loaders and skidders, and although we had some c500, I don't remember shipping any. I know we had some brand new KW log trucks that got shipped. They fired about 350 of us.
Ooouch. I got a looking Job started with Scott paper on a 50K acre block. In Covington county. It was the best wood I ever cut. Tract after tract. Hauled the poles to there pole mill in hooks lake. North of mobile in the mobile river Thank you for sharing this
Soy Argentino amigo wiley ...Soy amate d los fierros asi como usted me da mucha tristeza ver tantas herramienta d trabajo como ese camión abandonados gracias x ponerlos en marcha nuevamente un abrazo...
Hello Wily take it easy toting all that stuff back and forth loved the video you where having a good time there i hope we go back and get it to run thank you ken
Hey wiley you definitely will have to go back to that truck and get it to crank. That tractor looks to be an old ford 4000. I could be wrong though. Keep up the good work!
Hey dude how you been doing I've been doing okay just going through a lot of health issues today is my birthday I'm trying to take it easy the best I can they're saying that I might have either arthritis or multiple sclerosis in my back which I'm hoping not I got to go get a test done to figure that out honestly but I'm glad to catch up with your videos
Wiley, Scott sold out to Kimberly Clark in Dec. 95 out here in Washington State Scott closed their logging division in 84 and laid us all off, but kept the mill open using wood chips they bought in Canada and had them railed to the mill.
You'd be surprised but US trucks (mostly White and Mack) were imported to the UK although most were cabovers. No C500 KWs to my best knowledge, that niche was filled by Scammell and AWD in the UK.
Come on wiley give us some longer videos hell we like watching your content but it's not long enough we like learning from you and we well we just like hanging out with you brother give us some longer videos thanks
Well said I switched him off he's trying to bring Scanias into America to compete with the local manufacturers think's he will be the Elon Musk of trucks the sausage
Hey bud, should make yourself a jump pack trolley so you can pull it instead of carrying them. GG tho stay safe now. i did my 38 years driving trucks back then, i dont miss it now days if you know you know right.
Cut belts of old girl seems like the belts where dragging down crank ?? Maybe summit like tensioner or alternator locked solid grabbing that belt I mentioned
@DontbeWily today we were the up front eyes while you where cranking unfortunately as good and as wise as you are my friend you still can't be 2 places at same time.
It's crazy to me how people can just let these things rot. At least sell them before they rust away. At least you'll get something out of it. Now it's just a pile of scrap. I bet at some point that thing could have easily gotten out back on the road.
That's a truck. If it hit something on the highway it would just rickashay off and go on. Archeologists are gonna find it in 50,000.00 years and no there was civilization here.❤😊😊
@@DontbeWily that's a long way to haul something that heavy but if the price is right she would be on a low boy .....if I was able to work on it I would try to get it
Keep doing what you do , I love watching your show your good man and a old Southern Gentlemen and a great teacher.
I love watching your videos, you are real and unscripted, funny as hell, God bless and have a wonderful day

It did not work out.
Thanks for watching
Id like to see it run 2 Willy
I may go back when I get over that way. I liked that truck
You need a dolly for carrying stuff around especially long distance?
I have been thinking about it. Thanks for watching.
If I had that truck, I’d put me a single axle and a gooseneck hitch on it
Wow were blocks in short demand to keep the golden oldie up off the griund
lol. I guess so
Caring those batteries, no problem for a young man your age
Absolutely. It was easier once I sped the camera up lol
Scott paper was still going in 81
I'm betting I have seen that truck in person. I'm not far from their old plant in Fulton.
No doubt.
I know they would have probably hauled ply logs there
Thank you for sharing and watching

Happy Birthday. So young
@DontbeWily thankyou wily once i get my double knee replacement i may feel my age lol
