- forgot to mention that in some of these countries where i am now able to send samples, there are restrictions on some specific plants, which is fine for me to avoid or substitute, so please be careful if you are sending plant material through the post and dont view it as a blanket approval from customs.

**Squeal** This is my journal, and I can't wait to hold it in my little mermaid hands, Jibid! How lucky am I? Daughter of a boatbuilder, I grew up in Plymouth by the sea, and could see the sea with the midnight sky above from my bed every night, and I miss it so now I live inland... I love all the little details, and the rough-hewn finish, the loose threads, beads and so on... You're right I love the dark side of the sea, [but am a bit girly at heart LOL]. And yes, being an actor, I agree with you about Shakespeare - and you've chosen some lovely quotes. So, so thrilled. I knew you'd rise to the challenge magnificently even though it's not 'your thing'. I hope you're as pleased as I am... Thanks again, Helen xx

I have just discovered your channel and all I can say is WOW! This book is wonderful and seeing it immediately transported me back to playing Myst, an other worldly computer adventure game that I used to love. Its like its come out of that world. I can't begin to work out how you amassed all the materials, let alone put it all together with such attention to detail. That you love what you do really comes across. Now...... I want to thank you so much for the tissue paper dying explanation. I made an autumn journal for my granddaughter, using this technique, and punched large maple leaves from the tissue...so pretty.

I've been saving up bits and pieces over the summer for a mermaid journal. Your journal makes me want to make it right now lol. Absolutely dreamy! I know you say the ocean isn't you're thing but you've managed to capture its mystery, melancholy and magic in this journal. Wonderfully executed 🐬

Is there a secret to how you get your pages to lay so flat? I think you said there are 9 signatures. How many pages do you put in each one?
Creative Thoughts thankyou so much hun, I always press my dried paper with the iron. But not so many in each signature, i think it was average of five sheets folded because I think it sits better, probably about 80 pages or 160 writing sides in all.

The pages are all right side up. How do you put a page in your journal that is not sideways and showing in two different areas of the signature. (Is that better?) 😊
