My dad was a true audio file and had a killer. Kemwood stereo in 1977. And he used to bring home the coolest records and this was one of them. I still play It to this day. I'm 60 years old, love you, dad.

My high school best friend had this on 8-track and we cranked it up knockin' down some brews in his garage back in the early 80's. I can still hear the track fading a bit and "clicking" to the next track because the song wasn't over. Great memories and an absolutely great 8-track!! Awesome music..... never gets old!!!🙂

What a drag, now I'm really sad. Felt I had to share this story with you. Point Blank had their concert simulcast over the radio from Seattle, Washington in 1979. Well, I recorded it on a cassette tape and played over and over, it was a great telecast. The last song they did was Deep Purple's Lazy which completely blew my head to pieces! High energy smokin fantastic version. Well, long story short. Last day on a job because the company closed it's doors. I had caught a ride home from a co-worker and left the tape in his car never to see him again. I will never get over that mistake I made over forty years ago! I talk serious!!!! Doh!!!!!!!!! POINT BLANK are the underrated KINGS of Southern Rock . . . I saw POINT BLANK play LIVE at the Victory Theatre in downtown Dayton, Ohio, on May 17th, 1980 - when I was just 16-years-old. The concert was very, very loud; and it was broadcast LIVE on the local Classic Rock Radio Station, "WTUE" - The whole evening was, indeed, a rare and unforgettable night of PURE-HARD-ROCK-EXTRAVAGANZA.

Hi everybody, from France where we are biggest fan of Point Blank !!!! So underrated band, The band is still playing since they put it back together a few years ago, but unfortunatly, Kim Davis the original second guitar player passed away 3 years ago, the bass players ( they got two, Tom petty, the little guy, and Bill Randolph who was playing end of 70's and begining of 80's) are also gone to the musician heaven. So Now , Rusty Burns (upside down awesome lefthanded guitar player), and John O' Daniel the Singer are still in the band. Check their video's, those of the actual band but also the 80 and 81 concerts, this band was so powerfull, too bad that Bill Ham, their producer at that time, had another "one of a kind" band to promote....., the 'little band from Texas' with the long bearded guys............. ENJOY and Hi to Rusty

The singer was a big ole imposing powerful voice guy, the bass player was this little bearded guy, the lead guitar player played an upside down fender I think, and the second guitar guy's hair was so long you didn't know what he looked like. I don't remember what the drummer looked like. I love this band, wish their music was more accessible these days. I don't think I've ever been to a better southern rock concert…. Makk9 I lived just outside of Houston when the band got going. The bass player's name was Phillip Petty , if I remember right . True story: My sister-in-law at the time came by one night and had her date with her. She asked if they could hang out for a while . She called him in and he was a very short little guy. She introduced him and we all talked for a while then as they were leaving he said he was in a band and we should come watch them play. I'd never heard of Point Blank at the time but we went anyway. I just knew they would make it as big as that other Texas band.h

As did I, except it was Maryland where I witnessed the same line up. Didn't care for Golden Earring much. Ted Nugent was excellent but Point Blank spanked every ones ass! So much talent that they were always my favorite

Point Blank; one of the overlooked bands whenever I see people rattling off their list of great Southern Fried Rock bands. Loved You Been Mean to Your Queenie. I have to play it for my friends that lived through those times, 'cause when I bring it up, they don't remember it until I do. Then, it's like, "Oh, wow! I forgot all about that. That song kicked ass!" Picked on several other Point Blank songs and the comment sections are turned off. Comments are on for some more recent live performances, but not songs from the albums. What's up with this?

I saw these guys play probably 25 to 30 times over the years, and even though someone decided their stuff wasn't radio friendly, which I take acception to, but there is no arguement that it was stage friendly. They actually toured, opening for ZZ Top, Uriah Heap, and others for almost two years before they even had an album out. One note that most people forget, is that they were set to start a huge tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Rusty was going to meet them in Shreveport the day of the plane crash that killed members of Skynyrd. They suddenly had to scramble to tour and promote their new album. That tour could well have really put them on the map, but wasn't meant to be. Great music, that to many never got to hear.

+R C Interesting you should say that. I saw POINT BLANK as a headline act at the Victory Theatre (now called the "Victoria" Theatre) in downtown Dayton, Ohio, on May 17th, 1980. A local act called "The Bearcreek Band" opened the show, which was simulcast on the local rock station, WTUE. The ticket price was $4.00. We were pretty young and it was getting late and had to leave before the end of the show. It was bizarre on the ride home to listen to a concert on the radio that I was just at (and was still happening!) It was a good, hard-rocking show. The people LOVED it.

We have not...but I am a good friend of Dave Johnson (White Throne), whom I'm sure you know because of the Elefante brothers connection. I also know Keven Crothers (Heavens Metal Radio).
I was a big fan of the first Lovewar album and thought you guys disappeared for good. Was very happy to see you return after all this time, and even better, with similar spirit and style (unlike other reformed bands like Fear Not, Sacred Warrior, etc.).
I'm still absorbing the new material, it's quite "dense" (I mean that in a good way of course 🤗).
Would love to see some decent quality *live material* from Lovewar...A few years ago I went searching and all I found was part of a concert from 1994 but the sound quality was so terrible. Does anyrhing exist? I can understand your wanting to hold the better stuff for official release, but just wanted to know if any good footage existed...?
