If adding and removing *BigTable Nodes* is handled automatically then it would be awesome. Currently, I guess one needs to manually add and delete nodes
what about the streaming data sets like those that come out of exchanges prices , I believe Google already has it as under the banner of Google finance , but the question remains is what if I want to access these streamed (with delay or without) prices directly in to bigtable framework ? before passing it to additional analysis and preprocessing , the thing which differentiates Google financial / pricing data is that they come directly from exchange with no aggregation on top of it , which unfortunately makes the data almost useless in terms of actionable intelligence , so your input is highly appreciated

Fun fact: google published a whitepaper in 2006 describing BigTable together with GFS, which spawn the Hadoop project.
