A knocking is what we would call an Engagement in the US! Except it is wayyy more official! The parents, both parties family and witnesses get together WITHOUT the bride & groom. They exchange words, accept commitments, the Wife get a lot of gifts from the Grooms family, the father of the groom gave envelopes (Money) to the Brides Mother, Father and Brother! The Grooms Family basically takes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the Bride! This was Amazing! This is the Tradition, cultural, ACCURATE way to Join forces! This is the proper way to become a union! It was great to witness the correct way to do things! HalleluYah! The Groom & The Bride Joined us in the Celebration LAST, when the Parents finished their exchange. They marched in with their gorgeous Parties!
I’m very grateful to have experience this Union, and to Learn how it’s properly Done!
Keep in mind THIS WAS NOT THE WEDDING! The Wedding was the Day After and I caught the Bouquet 💐!! Yayyy!!! 😁😁😁

To add to what you have said both parents come from two different tribes and that make it so beautiful, I am a product of two tribes I guess USA they will call biracial but in Ghana we are one people, that’s why Ghana is so blessed and beautiful ❤, looking at the dance I will say it’s a ewe tribe and Ga tribe joining together ❤

Ghanaian engagements and marriages differ based on ethnic group. I believe this is
Ga and or the Ewe because I can understand both languages. I am a Ghanaian living in Indiana and am ready to call Aleta to buy some plots for me. This is beautiful.

It's Ewe tribe. The rythmn shows. Maybe family from two tribes. Ghanaians have a special way of getting along regardless of religion and tribe

The man is clearly Ewe from Volta Region of Ghana and The lady seems to be a Ga from the Greater Accra. From the languages spoken. So its an inter-ethnic marriage. That's one thing about Ghana. There's a lot of mixing even though some families also prevent children from marrying outside their tribe. To a large extent the mixing goes on a lot.

I wish my tribe is konkomba if I give you my sister, then I take yours, they have less divorce rate in Ghana
