Love my v3 have 3 pairs, just can’t use them outdoor. I wore my first pair bald in a month lol. The v4 looks like an improvement in the outdoor durability 😊 🎉

Hey Zach, love this stuff! Been watching them all. If you could choose one - would it be the V3 or the V4? I find the V3 fits slightly wider and feels comfortable straight away.
Between Jamal Murray, Tyrese Maxey, and Dejounte Murray, they have three potential All-Stars rocking these this year. Pretty sweet. They’ve got some pretty nice colorways on the way too. I’m personally eyeing the burgundy/white/tan ones and the royal blue/green ones.
Don't forget Zach LaVine! unless he is sticking to the Fresh Foam BB's... I just saw a new hoop shoe on their site called "Hesi Low" coming out 10/16... I wonder which player is going to wear that for them
@@kuyacruzrapsI thiiiiink the Fresh Foam BB is basically Lavine’s signature shoe in everything but name. And yeah that new low top shoe is interesting. No Fresh Foam in it, but it’s affordable and looks nice.
Darius Garland is a new balance athlete now as well, he been wearing these and the old V3

Firstly thank you for this, what an amazing methodology to your reviews! I have a significantly more flat foot on my left, with a pinched nerve causing tingling on left. I noticed with my last shows that fit well but I find dont breathe well my left foot ALWAYS gets blisters under the arch; to the point I am limping down the court cause i still want to play. I am curious on if you feel these are probably not the right shoes for something like this as your other review on how to pick shoes had it excelling in almost every other category but breathability. Wonder if this issue on my left foot is even tied to breathability which it may not be. Mind you my last shoes are very old tech Jordan Why Not 0.2; wondering if these will be similar breathability. I will be swapping the insole with one of my own, since I overpronate and hopefully the lateral support will be good enough, as I can see the lateral walls are somewhat thin.

@@YouGotServed8352e and went TTS. Love the fit. I’ll be rotating between these and my SPO Game1’s for the year.. Game 1’s have better performance (only by a little) but fit is not perfect like these are!
Definitely love these. I made the mistake and got the 2e size. It’s a little too wide and I have some arch pain because of it. Any ideas on what I could do to salvage this pair?
I’ve been using their fresh foam 1080s for years, and it barely occurred to me to see if they had any bb shoe offerings lol. Can’t wait to try them out.
I used to exclusively use Adidas Boost shoes for basketball.

I tried them and returned because the arch bothered my flat foot, and it wasnt a problem in the V3. Those fit like a glove.
Plus, the transluscent traction was just average. Maybe the solid color has better grip.

I wear wide2e us11.5 nb 993/990 and my current basketball shoes are Nike cosmic unity 3 us 12, and I wear other nike basketball shoes in size12. I feel like the nb 90 series length are same as Nike’s 12 idk. What should I get on these in wide2e?
Ordered the purple/green version. Really like the shoe and the color but I don’t get why NB left the hole in the middle of the heel in the sole - I feel it and it causes pain after a time. Everyone else puts here a dampening system but NB cuts a part just out. Unfortunately have to sent them back…

Is there any difference between the men's shoes and the unisex shoes besides color? The NB website shows different details between the two. For example, the men's shoe shows a molded heel counter but the unisex shoe does not say that.
Yeah, I think they need a fresh foam mid portion with fuel cell on the edges and abzorb in heel and forefoot, make the upper a little more minimalist, and offer a sturdier heel cup, with good padding to keep the heel in place
Didn't expect these to get a high score! Highest shoe rated so far along with the Wade fission 8s.

I don't know what these shoes feel like on an indoor court. I moved out to Saipan, and it's almost all outdoor here. I needed shoes that can ship out here, and there aren't many options. I found New Balance does ship out here, and I got their Two Wxy V3. Easily, the best outdoor shoe I've tried. Comfort, lockdown, grip, affordability. Then I got the V4. Upgrade every aspect. I already ordered a second V3. And once they move on to V5, I'm probably ordering 2 more V4s. Both versions are phenomenal. I've played in Jordans, UA, Adidas, and paid a lot of money for both great and disappointing shoes. The Two Wxys are top tier, even before considering they can be less than half of "premium" shoe prices.

Just got two pairs. One in white/silver and all black. Both on sale. Clean and simple looks, no outrageous design. Comfortable and versatile. Outdoor use for B-ball and tennis. These are legit! Ty for the reviews.

@@bissekerskij U.S. retailers, however they are medium width D and not wide 2E as you are looking for. For that, New Balance site has that.
Ive played in these shoes in three separate pick-up game sessions (2-4 hours each, full and half court outdoor). Most foot pain I've had in years. Also experiencing significant interoir ankle pain. Im hoping this is just a break-in period.

In the fit section did you mean to say: ".... a 4E I think can either just go into a 4E (not 2E) size for a1:1 fit or go up 1/2 size in a 2E for a more roomy fit" ?

I’m wondering if the softer Fresh Foam X on the posterior-lateral part of the shoe/heel area will cause one to be more susceptible to inversion ankle sprains?

I saw in a Jamall Murray interview they had louder/more dynamic colorways like the v3.. .I guess their releasing the "team" type colors first to line up with school sports seasons

I wanted to love these but they were so loose in the front, even after going down half a size. Super soft cushion! I think if the sizing fit me better they would be a W.
Would you take these over the newest hardens?
There's a colorway that has a translucent outsole. So, can i ask which is better for outdoor play? The full rubber or the half translucent? Please i need an answer doctor zach. Before I bought my very first basketball shoes in 20 years.

But what's the long-term durability of NB cushioning and some of the other "newcomers" to hoop shoes? We know with like Boost, it lasts way longer than any traditional foam.
Same as other premium EVA's - they have tons of playtesting from tennis which is equally as harsh on the midsole

What do you suggest when needing to size up 1/2 size from 13 when 13.5 is not an option? That was my experience with the two wxy v3. Perfect length, but really tight on the fore foot, and the shank seemed to cause pain in my arch.
Did you get standard size or wide? I’m looking to get these and I am a 13 with wide feet. I’m looking to order the wide.
I had the standard width for the v3. They ended up breaking in really nice actually. I bought a pair of the v2’s from Joe’s outlet in 14 and they are way long, even worse, I can’t return them... If I end up getting the v4 I will more than likely just buy direct from new balance and order 13 wide.

I picked these up when they dropped 2 weeks ago. Been dealing with some turf toe for over a month and needed a more maximalist shoe. Played in them 3 times and my turf toe is slowing going away. Just more cushion than the 2way 3s with all of the support. Maybe not as grippy at the 2way 3s (4s still grip far better than most) but well worth the trade off.
Are they durable?
If possible any updates on shoe
@@heksazgon I've played twice a week for 2 hr sessions and I hardly put a dent on the outsole. Pretty durable to me.
@@heksazgon Lost some of its softness in the heal after a month. Just makes the shoe slightly more responsive. After these mold to your foot, they are just great all around. Outside of the trade off of court feel for comfort compared to the 3s... I have no issues. Including no more foot/heal/turf toe pain.

Wish they used that razor pattern all over othe outsole. Looks deep n prolly more durable than the suction cups.
They are- but it’s a combo of tread for different surfaces
Hey doc, why wouldn’t they want the stiffer fuel cell foam on the lateral side of the heel? Wouldn’t the fresh foam lead to instability since it’s soft?
The shoe is so well balanced as it is plus the shank holds the midsole firm so i dont think so

Not as sticky but gets the job done and more durable

I finally tried the Two WXY V3 and V4s. The traction is way better on V3 with suction cup design but the cushion is way better on V4s especially heel area. Also the arch support is higher on V4s so not comfy for flat footers like myself. V3 with better cushion would have been ideal. Overall for my feet these sadly arent better than my KD14s.

Might be my first NB bball shoe. Still can’t shake the reputation of it being a grandpa shoe and Matt Bonner wearing the brand, but we will see. Tried the Two Wxy 3 on, thought it was very overhyped given the state of the poor basketball performance shoe market rn and there was absolutely no cushioning. Maybe these are different
I didn't like the Two Wxy v3 too.. I couldn't get the right fit... i ended up getting the Why Not .06 but after weeks of playing in them I don't feel laterally stable.. I just picked v4 up because 2E is available and I still hadn't found a perfect-fitting shoe.. hopefully this it
NB has come along way since those days - even more in the tennis space than hoops
No, I get it, and I was contemplating getting a pair of their 9060s because I heard they’re comfortable, and for me an actual aesthetically pleasing model. it’s just hard for me to detach from the swoosh, as I prefer zoom cushioning over all else. I can’t personally shake the stigma of wearing a new balance, particularly to play ball. Weak era for performance basketball shoes in my opinion right now, Nike included. Also, thanks for the reply, love your reviews, you’re the best shoe reviewer bar none apart from maybe Nightwing2303. Keep up the great work. New Balance being New Balance, they don't feel like we're worth getting the 2E version out here.
