This stunning town mansion was lovingly restored from ruin in the late 1980s. Gracious and spacious, with plenty of original features - stone staircase, decorative wall and ceiling mouldings, towers, caves, and perhaps hidden passages! Ideal boutique-hotel project or family home.
It comes with six bedrooms, a lift, an indoor swimming pool complex, outbuildings, and private grounds, all hidden behind impressive gates.

How to assess this petit chateau? If I were the seller then I would stroll the market for buyers who want to build a new bigger classic house. Why do I say that? This Hotel asks for a buyer with a certain class or interest in history, who has a larger but restricted budget and who is content with a small and nice plot. In my region these buildings serve as a salon or as a salle des fêtes. I think for a traiteur it is doable to invest 21 millions of old Belgian francs and make a profit out of it. Also, it is very important to see if there are American companies active in the region. They like this kind of chateaux for business reason and they communicate very good to their homeland.

It's beautiful but looks like something from a Duran Duran video. (and as I try to make...my way...to the ordinary world.......)

You can of course buy a property in France if you are not from the UK 🙂 We have various guides that can help you through the buying process in France, you will be able to find them here: www.frenchestateagents.com/buying-property-in-france-a-step-by-step-guide

@@LeggettImmobilierProperty Yes I know, that was the point. The agent selling this property kept making reference to the UK connections, as if they were the only targeted buyers. Perhaps a broader sales pitch wouldn't give that impression.
