  • This was my third time attending the Pai Ti Gong celebration (拜天公) at Chew Jetty, Pengkalan Weld, Georgetown, Penang.
After parking my car at the public open car park area opposite the 1st Avenue Mall, I walked to the location.
I arrived around 7:30 pm and began walking and filming along the way.
Since this wasn't my first time attending this annual celebration event, I had a rough idea of the agenda and expected performances for the whole night.
Overall, filming this event wasn't easy due to the large crowd; it was difficult to move along the road.
I had to use the opposite side of the road to pass through to reach the other side of Chew Jetty, as it was extremely crowded and challenging to walk through.
One thing I noticed was the abundance and duration of the fireworks.
They lasted much longer than expected, allowing ample time to capture photos and videos throughout the fireworks performance.
A tip for those planning to attend next year: bring a change of clothes, as you'll likely sweat a lot.
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing to help stay cool.

A harmonious and joyous CNY celebrations with beautiful people of Penang and tourists. Just simply gorgeous variety of activities, colour and fun all around, the wonderful lion dance is a stand-out of our lunar new year. Penangites are very fortunate in this respect and should continue to support of this event in a big way. Good health to all and huat ah !
    Cheers from Sydney, Australia

Thank you for your comment and greetings about my video. This celebration is indeed our annual event, held at the same place in Georgetown, Penang.
If the timing works out, you can plan a visit to Penang next year during this period to experience the celebration firsthand, along with the crowd, performances, and vibe.
There is also another public celebration known as 'Cap Goh Mei' that marks the end of the 15th day of Chinese New Year. It features several performances and, not to forget, fireworks as well.
      Anyway, let's HUAT together!

Jika anda merujuk kepada set makanan sembahyang lengkap untuk Pai Ti Gong, senarai itu agak panjang, dan anda boleh mencarinya online.
