I had the distinct feeling I was watching a modern miracle, the perfect marriage of digital synthesis, musicality and human expression. 13 years later this still stands as a pinnacle example of physical modelling synthesis, i don't think anyone has ever created something on par that I've heard. Just fantastic work.

Was it a reaction to a perceived darkness, or was it embracing something great, creative but maybe as much destructive. This song does pull you in a different world... I love how the video complements the music... That it's so robotic (yet alive) at first, but then it moves on to scenes nature.. then it's artificial again.. but in the whole, it's all about the girl. Is she a robot (very ghost-in-the-shell-ish). Very beautiful. The music in that video (and other stuff I've heard in the band's myspace) also reminds me a lot of the soundtrack for Mirror's Edge (the game). Awesome.
