Wing foiling is the beautiful combination of a hundred micro movements that are perfectly timed to make the maneuvers look and feel as smooth as you demonstrated. This is an excellent bit of knowledge and I’m definitely working toward incorporating it into my tacks. Great demonstration and description, thank you! 🙌🙌
Agree with the comment of our friend here the only question I have is how strong was the wind on this particular day (session) because the water seems very calm. (almost no texture)
I made a huge leap in my tacks by 1) steering the wing actively with both hands until it’s almost overhead and 2) at the same time sheeting in on the front (!) handle so the wing would have less angle of attack and thus create less lift, making it easier for you to ride upwind.
Again a great video, thankx! My problem was the foot steering in the wind after shifting. I find out - and it's good to see it in your video- to shift the wing over and beside the heat with a good dynamic. So you can hold the wing and your body and your board are following you. For me it's like turning around a lamppost... :-)
All very true - but for first-timer tacking, I found releasing back hand and switching hands before turning was easier than having to try and do hand-switch and turning at the same time. So turning slightly into wind before letting go is for the slightly more advanced rider imho.
Great point, we have a couple basic how to tack videos already, so wanted to make this one a bit more specific for those who tack and make this mistake. Thanks for bringing this up 🙏🙌
You guys rock! Fantastic instruction and "a hub" for content of all levels. Some of us have off seasons.. or just no wind days.. Do you have a set of wingin' exercises you like to do off the water?

Good advice.
Also - it is great to see the stats at the end identifying the board, wing and Foil setup. That is really helpful

Awesome tip, exactly what I was missing …thank you!
Thank you! Same, will be trying that next time out, struggling with learning tacks.

Waaaa, I can't wait to try ! Thank you
Tks for tips! You are amazing!
Nice I 'll try today!
Just improved the same issue in my jibes.. 4 sure the increased wing awareness helps to unlock the tack not just 4 me. 🙏🤙✨
Grea ! I tryed just yesterday and managed to complete 3/4 of tack ... just 1/4 remaining :)

Good job
What was the wind speed for this demo? It looks so smoooth and ideal!
My "solution" is stick to a smaller wing and just muscle it over. 😁
Gwen's method is better.
