Hi great video I am planning on doing the same thing. I have a treadmill motor and I have a 48v controller box . I was wondering how you got the sprocket setup on the treadmill shaft

Hobbyfarmer do you leave the 2 blue wire from the motor open. I have the same motor and I am going to order a controller and a thumb throttle for my boys quad.

I'm doing this, but to the kids cars (ride-ons)
What you can do is have a boost circuit to bring up the voltage.
You will drop amps and the unit ESC is good for 48v 20a for five minutes and they heat up, you can find eBay DC motor controller videos on here and that one you have.
What you do need to do is think about gearing. I worked out that you will need a 1:6 gearing, but I have not undertaken the torque calculations.
    So that you know ...
A kids stock ride on is 9000rpm giving 6kmh and is a 40watt 12v motor.
The e scooters are 12 or 24v and between 120 and 500w with direct drive or rather single gearing, the 120 is very weak and slow.
You need to have a good current to take the load at a rpm and gearbox

    Hi, is this dc10-60v 20A good with a 1600w 48v engine?
