I appreciate the ideas Ben and also that they are affordable, there's a few brothers and they do make great videos however alot of what they recommend costs a small fortune
Hi Ben. Great list. Some other ‘good to haves’ but not ‘must haves’ are extra airline (some fittings and check valves too), some air stones, and a spare light or two. None are critical but are handy to have around. Oh…and water conditioner such as Prime is a must.
What’s funny is family members 2:22 asked me what do I want for Christmas? I’m gonna have all those that asked watch your video. Thanks again again for all the great work that you do happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
If I had a spare tank hanging around it would end up as a new Scape with fish in it, then I would need to buy another spare tank and that in turn would end up a new Scape with fish in and so on... 😂
Hello Ben its been a long time nice to see your still in the hobby and making videos keep up the good work... I was looking around for some of the old school african cichlid channels that used to be in the hobby back when i was still doing it. I couldnt seem to find the inquisitive fish guys channel do you know if he is still in the hobby or whatever happened to him or if he changed his channel name cuz i cant seem to find it.?
@BenOchart that's sad. I have one tank that has a heater. And the other doesn't. I plan to start up a jelly fish tank soon. So no heater needed but still good to have backups
Great Christmas list. I have that same Inkbird you have, when you find out how many watts it can handle let me know please I have a 1000 watt heater connected to mine.
Hello i like to watch your channel and have two questions 1. I have 120 gallon tank with 2 Big Oscars and 8 smaller cichlids, 1/4 of tank is planted , will one water changes every two weeks will be fine? 2. Do you recommend having betta fish with guppies?
Yes, but test from time to time. What plants are you using that the fish don’t destroy? Guppies, with their flowing fins, might get nipped by a betta. Fish have different temperaments, you might get a mellow betta? So you might try it but keep a close eye on it!
@BenOchart ok great i heard the powder version of praziquantel is safe with seachem safe and prime, i heard the liquid version of praziquantel and seachem safe and prime may not be, any experience with the liquid version of praziquantel?

His channel is still up (“IFG”) but he’s not posting regular fish content any longer.

From a sign maker named Vinny. I’ve tried to locate him to repair one of the neon tubes but can’t locate him. I don’t know where he went🤷🏼♂️

A GREAT gift idea is a gift card to a favorite fish store.
